Recurring payment set up is not eligible

https://www.uob.com.sg/web-resource...hequeing/one-account/uob-one-account-giro.pdf

Emphasis added

3. What are NOT considered eligible GIRO transactions? Transactions that are NOT considered as GIRO transactions:
• Any Bill Payment to any billing organisation via UOB Internet Banking, UOB Mighty or UOB ATM
• Recurring Bill Payment via any UOB Credit or Debit card
• Successfully sign up for GIRO payment with a Billing Organisation
• GIRO transactions not made within the CALENDAR month
• Any other transactions we may exclude from time to time without prior notice.

Thanks.
But, why is this not considered as valid Giro transaction ?

You can setup recurring GIRO payment to your other banks account. Amount need not be big.

You mean I use GIRO to transfer from UOB One Account to my other accounts with other banks?
I thought must be billing organization like SP Services, Singtel, Strhub ??

Why do you want to do this though when 500 spend + salary credit give you higher interest.
The spend part is mandatory, 3 giro will land you with lower interest compared with salary credit.
based on what I can see on my UOB account page, it says EITHER 3 x Giro Credit OR salary credit
(Note : right now no salary, due to recently being retrenched)

That's what I did. Created for "backup" purposes where there are months when I do not need to pay SP bills due to the U-Save rebates. It will reflect in the tracker. You can try set up one and see.

Repeating post to share here :

Computed bonus interest for the first $150k principal amount (average daily balance),
and meet $500 card spend & $1.6k salary :

From 1st Dec 2025 onwards

28 days in the month = $212.87 (verified for February)
29 days in the month = $220.47 (not yet verify)
30 days in the month = $228.08 (not yet verify)
31 days in the month = $235.68 (verified for December, January, March)

For those who has no salary credit to UOB one account, but still satisfy $500 credit card spend and 3 GIRO deductions in a calendar month, the bonus interest are as such :

28 days in a month : $129.45
30 days in a month : $138.69
31 days in a month : $143.32

Disclaimer : actual amounts may differ by a few cents due to rounding off, pls refer to bank for eventual amounts .....

Old bonus interest. pls see

Yes it is GIRO or salary credit, but the GIRO one has lower EIR, you can just 'pay' yourself, no need to do GIRO.

Do this to earn max interest or go to another bank which pays more than UOB one!

"Have a UOB One Account and can’t quite clock the salary requirement? It could be because you’re a freelancer and don’t have a fixed salary, or your salary is already used to satisfy the salary requirement of another account. Perhaps you just don’t want to disturb your HR person.

Regardless the reason, you can easily meet the salary requirement for UOB One Account by doing a simple FAST transaction or PayNow transfer from one of your other bank accounts to your UOB One Account and selecting Salary Payment as for the Purpose of Transfer. Some banks only allow you to set the transaction type for FAST, while some banks allow you to set for PayNow transfers. Either is fine (yes even FAST works, stop asking) as long as you get to choose the Purpose of Transfer/transaction type.

You can check the status of your salary credit in your UOB app, and it should be reflected about 2 days after the credit is done." source: sethisfy.com

thanks very much. Don't mind me asking please. Assuming I have a big sum of money in just the One account (and no funds in other accounts), can I transfer out the 'Salary' from One account to another account in another bank (say, DBS) and then from DBS transfer it "back" to the One account with the purpose of transfer as 'Salary'? Would that meet the salary crediting criteria for the One account?

How do I set up Giro to my other bank account ? In the UOB Internet banking page I click on Apply > Giro Arrangement but under “Biller Organization” I only see standard biller organizations such as HDB, IRAS, SP Services etc
Also there’s a bill reference needed to be entered

Do a search on TMRW User Guide "How to perform a scheduled transfer". Steps are listed.

thanks but I already set up 3 recurring transfers out from my One Account and the first transfer of each of the 3 recurring transfers already done but my interest tracker still does not show that the Giro transfer part has been fulfilled

btw, when I’m setting up the scheduled transfers I noticed there was no option to select the type of transfer (for e.g. Giro, FAST, MEPS) like I see with other banks

may I know what are you trying to achieve with 3 recurring transfers for the ONE account?

I’m trying to chalk up the 3 Giro transfers to attain the higher interest rate for One account by using recurring transfers setup to transfer out from my One account to my own bank accounts in other banks. Above it was shared that this could be done in place of setting up a GIRO arrangement with a traditional billing organization such as Telco or SP Services or loan payment and would still qualify for the higher interest

The "truth" is in this UOB ONE Account Page

https://www.uob.com.sg/personal/save/everyday-accounts/one-account.page

on extreme right click on the "i" inside the blue bubble. It provides a list of eligible GIRO Bill Payment Organisation. Scroll all the way down "See here for transactions excluded from GIRO debit transactions"

Good luck if you still insist on trying "recurring transfers" :)

Didnt we already told you to 'pay' yourself to get the salary+spend bonus instead? It gives higher EIR compared to giro+spend...

Anyway if you insist on FAST/Non-FAST, you have to use the website, app only have FAST transfer.

There is a check box under FAST TRASFER. Checked for FAST, unchecked for the "SLOW" ya. :ROFLMAO:
It will not show on the tracker immediately, just like the salary credit and spending.
