does spending by supplementary card holder count towards rebates?

does the main card holder need to meet the minimum amt every month, if there's spending by supplementary card holder?

Supplementary card spendings counts towards your spendings.

But this is UOB ONE, this card needs discipline. Better spend from yourself than to allow other to help you, since you don't get to enjoy the rebates from overspending (i.e keep closely to the 300/800/1500sgd monthly).

can I check how much extra if one pays cab fees by UOB one card, or any credit card for that matter?

ans myself:
A 10% administrative charge on top of total metered fare is applicable for Credit and Charge Card payments. The prevailing GST is chargeable on the 10% administrative charge. A prevailing administrative charge on top of total taxi fare is applicable for NETS, NETS FlashPay, ez-link and EPINS payments.

Last part is not applicable to credit card and only 30c more on top of total fare. No gst either.

overseas spending

Hi, can I ask on overseas spending cash rebate.
For example I spend $300 every month for the quarter (3 transactions everymonth) on overseas spending. How much rebate I will receive? Will I get 5.33% for all $900 ($300 x 3 months)?
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply! That means if I dont spend on 2nd and 3rd month I will still get the 2% rebate on overseas spend?

The overseas rebate is separated from the quarterly rebate. There is no condition to fufil to get 2%, you just get it for ALL overseas spend.

One thing. We know banks cc forex is bad, plus some hidden charges.
Has anyone calculated before whether the extra 2% is worth?

1. Banks CC forex is not bad, Visa/Mastercard exchange rate are made known daily, they are better than most if not all moneychanger rate.

2. UOB charge a total of 2.5% on top of Visa/Mastercard rate so you lose out around 2-2.5% max. By giving you 2% back as rebate, you don't lose out at all and enjoy the convenience of using CC.

3. If you utilize the overseas spend to get the extra 3.33% rebate then it make it even more worth it.

There are no hidden charges, i have been using CC for so many years. No such thing as hidden charges.

Thanks hwmook.
I did a test swipe for rm251.55 and the online statement showed sg100.25
On the surface it looks bad, but ya.. still haven't factored the 5.33% yet.

Silly me... only realized now...

A simple back calculation removing 2.5% service charge yield a exchange rate of 2.572, not sure which day is it as current spot rate is 2.57 but anyway its not too bad .

After factoring 2% cashback, its 2.56 exchange rate. If you get the additional 3.33%, its no horse run.

i submitted my UOB one credit card application online on mon or tues... but didn't receive any email notification at all.

Called UOB hotline to check on credit card application and it's a automated message saying that 'we will get back to you within 5 business days'.

Anyone able to share their online credit card application experience? Is it normal for me not to receive any email confirmation?

Its normal, i don't usually get email response from most banks. Just wait patiently, it should be ready in a 1-1.5 week.
