My statement ends on the first of the month, i.e. 2nd of month to 1st of next month.

For the first month from the change of statement date, the first month will be longer for you:
-Prior statement: 24th of May to 23rd of June
-Assuming change of date to 30th June, new statement date: 24th of May to 30th of June

so for your case, if transaction is only posted on 1 July, it will still be in the upcoming statement (2 June - 1 July)? I take it that statement date is the same as the last possible date to be posted for the 'statement month', right?

anyway it's strange the CSO told me cannot set the statement date to be 1st of the month. but last day of month is OK so long that it is clear it is the last day, regardless of whether it is 31st, 30th, 29th (leap year) or 28th (Feb) or whether it is weekday, weekend or public holiday...

thanks for clarifying that the new statement date for my case.

You are right: For my case, transactions that have a posted date of 1st of the month (1 July) will end up in the statement month of the previous month (2nd June to 1st July). Statement date will be the last date for a posted transaction.

Usually the statement date is a fixed date: usually 30th of the month. So months with 31 days will have the 31st counted as for the next statement month.

yeah, that's what i'm unsure of - the exact date.

I just made another call to them and the CSO said the statement date will be the last working day of the month -.-

so 'last day of month' means last *working* day of month, according to him. if the month has 30 days, but the 30th falls on Sunday, the statement date will be 28th (which is Friday) :s22: and if Friday is a public holiday it will be 27th?

I think for the next few months I just need to wait and see what the statements look like.

30 June = Saturday
31 July = Tuesday
31 August = Friday
30 September = Sunday

hopefully some folks who have had such experience (whose statement date is the 'last day of the month') can share...

Mine is last day of the month, so far regardless if the last day falls on wkend or PH, it will be generated on the last day. The only issue with PH falling on that day means, they might delay the generating of statement/estatement to us.
sonfar, i find that uob is the fatest in generating estatement compare to dbs, boc, ocbc

My statement is last day of the month. To conincide with Uob one account.

Regardless of PH or weekday or a month has 28,29,30 or 31 days, it’s just always the last day of the month.

Hope that helps

thanks to both! I take it that the date shown on the statement will always be the last day of the month (regardless of weekend or PH).

yes I've requested to sync with the one account to lessen the trouble to calculating two different spends... didn't realise that the 3.33% (or 2.43% EIR) for one account is based on calendar month and not statement month... caused me to have to make an appeal to UOB to credit the bonus interest for last month although they still did, on 2 June.

Yes can. I’m paying my pru policies using UOB one credit card. My agent got the form from pru to change payment from giro to CC. It’s recognised as eligible spending in the statement.
