What is your statement date?
Hi,expert
I need to pay my insurance $2800 due on Jan this month,is worth to top up $2800 Grab Master card using UOB one card ? I plan to used the top up money in Grab account to pay insurance through the cardup service which charge me 2.25% .How much total extra rebate I can get from this Grab top ? Is still worth it ? Thank you in advance.
UOB one requires $2k spending over consecutive 3 month (Statement) within specific quarter. Best to spend $2k in one statement, then $800 in the next statement period, then all within grab to spend. Assuming you can spend the other $1200 in 2nd month and $2000 in the 3rd month, otherwise, you get nothing.
What insurance company? Doesn't accept credit cards?
Please note that you do not get any grab points for cardup spending. Now that m-axs do not take grab as payment, does e-AXS or m-AXS take grab card (still no grab points, but less the 2.25% extra charges)?
Remember the minimum 5 transactions per month.

simi rubbish u talking abt? go to uob website read first lah![]()
Don't think e-AXS and m-AXS can take Grab Card number, it should have same error as Grabpay.
every part

Sorry , brother there,I need to provide more background information below:
1. My billing cycle ,Jan to Mac , full fill 3 giro and 5 transactions per month.
2. Insurance company Manulife overdue at 15 Jan 2020 $2800,die die must pay by 15 Jan.
3. Planning to top up grab $2800 this month only to Grab Master debit card from UOB one card and used this money inside Grab account to pay Manulife insurance through Cardup (not through axs or m-axs)
4. Plan the spend $2000 each on UOB one card on Feb and Mar only.
So how much total rebate from uob for this quarter? Just want to save money,if the rebate cannot cover the 2.25%,will spent as per normal $500 each month Thank you everyone.

Maybe you should go read up UOB website, instead of relying on rubbish forums here.

So your Quater ended at 14-Dec? Then how come you just received the rebate? I thought it shall be right after 14-Dec?
I think you should explain what is wrong instead of acting like a smart Alex. All of us here also received the rebate.so far...im ok.
nv miss receiving my rebate
If my understanding from the past posts is correct, the rebates come in the month after the quarter. So the rebate showing up now is correct.
But I have paid my SP utility bills using One card, which should receive additional rebate. Can anyone explain where and when it should show up?

Last day of 4th statement month
$2800 * 2.25% = $63 cardup fee.
If you do $2800 Grab, $2000 non Grab, $2000 non Grab the quarterly rebate should be $300 + the additional Grab rebate should be $100.
As long as you pay the credit card in full each month, spend $2000 on the UOB One card in Feb and Mar and don't pay interest or late charges you should be ahead.
(BTW This advice is worth exactly as much as you paid for it).
If your quarter for UOB One is Jan to Mar and you spend at least $2000 per mth, the quarterly rebate is $300.
Additional rebate for Grab is 5% cap at $100 per month. So if you topup $2800 in Jan, you get $100.
I am in similar situation as you. My GE insurance has grace period of 30 days from due date. My due date is 23 Jan. So I need to pay by 21 Feb. I will be spilting to pay part in Jan and part in Feb.
You might want to check if Manulife has something similar. Because if your due date is 15 Jan and they have grace period, you can spilt payment and pay part in Jan and part in Feb. This is to maximise as cap for rebate and additional rebate for Grab are both $2000 per mth. Also better if you have problem spending $2000 in Feb and Mar.
