Hi guys, will I qualify for the 10% rebate of UOB One Card Grab? Or is this too good to be true? For the year 2020, I will need to pay around $10k for my part-time degree and some other utility bill such as telecom and town council fees.

Here is the strategy

1. UOB One Card charge $2k monthly into GrabPay wallet in 5 transactions each of $400 in order to meet the criteria.

2. Using GrabPay Master Card which is linked to Grab Pay, top up MCO Visa Card with it as I have a physical MCO Visa Ruby Card which offers 2% cashback in crypto-currency.

3. Use MCO Visa Ruby Card to pay for degree and utility fees.

4. Repeat the process of $2k monthly topups.

If all these can be done, I think the rebate would be at around 12.2% in total. Which is quite a lot of savings.

Thanks

It will be closed.

Inside MCO app:
*For Mastercard holders, we can only process crypto purchases if your card is issued in these countries. <Austria... > Singapore isn't in there. Have you tried?

He's not using the credit card to purchase crypto. Buying crypto is regulated so you can't just use any bank.
He's using credit card to top up the MCO Visa Debit card wallet, no restrictions there

The TnCs is clear. The new exclusions are (Page 4 of the TnCs) - Member Financial Institution–Merchandise and Services (with effect from 30
November 2019); Securities–Brokers and Dealers (with effect from 30 November 2019); Stored Value Card Purchase/Load (with effect from 30 November 2019); Gambling - Betting, including Lottery Tickets, Casino Gaming Chips, Off-Track
Betting, and Wagers at Race Tracks (with effect from 30 November 2019); Organisations, Political (with effect from 30 November 2019)

UOB refer to GRAB as "mobile wallet", not a stored value card/load

do they count towards the minimum spend even if not awarded rebates?
