Wonder if Grab Topup rebates still works for UOB ONE card's little brother at Maybank... Maybank Platinum Visa. It worked for me a few months back.

Hi, what is the benefit of this move? SCB card itself does not have any minimum spend to get 2% ya?

if the rebate is only 2%, even if they still recognise , not really any point. Might as well use the spree card spend on its own.

Point is still to double dip, at least, whatever Grab still gives.

Just did Ipaymy transaction and called for the MCC, is 7399. So they didnt exclude 7399, so Grab probably have to change MCC, or they will have to filter by MCC + Grab.

The last I checked, ipaymy is 6513.

yes, don't count anymore for card rebate. I confirmed it with my RM this morning.

terrible move by UOB (plan was purchased through their bankers, not with Prudential agents). take away the benefits after promising them prior to signing the documents.

it still counts for min spend for UOB One bonus interest though, if it is any comfort to you.

We were discussing in the cardup thread that it seems there is different MCC for different type of payment for cardup. Some had 6513 for rental and my personal encounter is 7399 (not rental - posting date 10 Feb. Feb 2019 also 7399). Maybe ipaymy doing something similar.

I will get (3.33%x$500x3months) + 5%x$2000 correct?

If I use Cardup to pay for my Prudential insurance, what do I specify as the payment method in the PruAccess portal? I had to provide my UOB One CC details in the portal to set up the recurring payment.


And if Cardup can be used as a workaround, what about using it for income tax or any other excluded payments? At least until UOB nerfs it too.

Cardup for income tax is restricted to one time full payment of the tax

I see that it js shown as bus/train and not Transit*
