Hi all, can we use ipaymy for UOB one card? Intend to use ipaymy after 16/3/2020.

A thought, why dont you all use ipaymy. Its fees (1.99 with promotion code) is lesser than cardup. :s22:

Still don't understand how is cardup good? I have monthly premium of $70 fixed per month. Gonna remain using UOB One for min spend. While another one I'm gonna change to annual and pay a few K per year with SCB card for 1.5%

Btw Scb exclude insurance from rebate. Insurance payment using Uob one only count to bonus interest and not to rebate. Using cardup/ipaymy at least get net rebate and count for bonus interest card spend (provided there is no change in MCC or TnC).

Anyone can clarify

If I spend

Feb: $2000 (grab top up) + 5 transaction
Mar: $500 + 5 transaction
Apr: $500 + 5 transaction

Still eligible for $100 grab rebate and $50 uob rebate?

We were discussing in the cardup thread that it seems there is different MCC for different type of payment for cardup. Some had 6513 for rental and my personal encounter is 7399 (not rental - posting date 10 Feb. Feb 2019 also 7399). Maybe ipaymy doing something similar.

So based on this, so if used card up for insurance then MCC should be 6300 n thus excluded from rebate?

Anyone has issues Paying geneco with UOB one? I updated they payment last month and geneco send me Sms that bill is overdue while they didn’t deduct from UOB one.

I have separately removed the card and added it again when I encounter and it’s the same thing

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Following UOB's updated Terms and Conditions governing their UOB ONE Card (effective from 16 March 2020 onwards), we confirm that your payments on CardUp scheduled with this card, including insurance will continue qualifying for cashback according to your monthly card spend.

Do hope this clarifies, but please feel free to reach back if you have any additional queries.

Is this from cardup?

How can we check what MCC code the transaction is?

Call UOB and check, or call and use the chat option.
Just for public info:
My Cardup rent payment is 6513 (excluded for UOB one after 16 Mar)
Ipaymy invoice payment is 7399

First bill payment you have to pay manually, then only subsequently it is charged to your card. You can look at your geneco bill, if it stated charged to your credit card, then it will post there.

Thanks, will look into this. I'm new to this cardup thing though. Is it like making payment to cardup instead?

Yes making insurance payment via cardup will be under mcc 7399 which is not yet excluded. However u incur cardup fees of 0.6% (if pay $1000 for first transaction using referral code to 2.25% (using promo code GET225 valid till jun) for doing so.

My statement date is 12th as well and I called the CSO - the first day of the new cycle is 12th. You can top up on 12 March for the new cycle.

The CSO explained to me that for statement date of 12th, my cycle is 12th of a month to 11th of the next month. Also confirmed that I can top up on 12th to count towards a new cycle.

That is not true. Transaction done on 12th have a chance to be posted on 12th itself and counted to the statement generated on 12th.
