bill payments to uob one, can be via both methods rite?

1. using automatic monthly giro payment (aka recurring) - based on the due amount of the monthly bills

2. ad hoc payment via internet/mobile banking

i'm thinking to apply for giro for all bills, but some of the bills that overshoot the standard amount (e.g. phone bills), i will pay the fixed amount using uob one via internet then pay the extra using anz travel

my experience is if your bill can be paid online (like mobile bills), maybe dont set up recurring better - more flexibility.

for eg, if this month ur bill is due on one day before your statement, but this month u already hit the minimum tier liao (i.e. $300, $800, $1500), u can manually pay it on one day before your statement date online, so that the posting date will reflect to the next mth spending tier.. nxt mth no need spend so much.

but if recurring has been set, it will hv to proceed to deduct within this month, but ur method of using another card to pay still ok.. personal preference.

I suggested to SP that it should consider offering online SP bill payments through their online platform.

let's say you have already put in $2000 already into the sp power balance. and your next bill is $200, which will become $0 with a new balance of $1800.

if u go to the physical counter, would they reject you if u want to pay with cc? and can u decide on the amount u want to pay?

SP Services allows you to make payment for 2 months in advance

SP, when you go down counter, they will only allow you to prepay up to 3 months (including current bill) of your average monthly bill. For example if your average bill is $150, you can only pay up to $450. Then you cannot go down to SP and prepay again until the current balance is spent off...

You can pay one month in arrears and 2 months in advance. Total 3 months. So you only need to go once every 3 months.

Even if you prepay your sp bills for this month, still need to hit $300/$500/$800 for the next 2 months. That would defeat the purpose of fixed spending per month.
The only card i use to prepay is frank for online 6% rebate.
