If you are in between the 300 and 800 tier, can consider Maybank Platinum Visa which works on same principle as UOB One. This has a 300 tier so can combine 300 from UOB and 300 from Maybank to make 600 monthly spend.

only wasted thing is maybank platinum visa don count in foreign currency spending...

is Maybank better for those with minimal spending of $300/month since there is no annual fee? (although must use the card at least once every three months)

cause UOB one is $128.40 yearly after rebate of $120 ($30x4) = $8.4, unless call to waive

All spendings for UOB ONE is counted, not so for Maybank Platinium.

Additional advantages of UOB1 over Maybank platinum are

1. link up to 8 NFP cards for ATUs
2. 0% IPP is counted
3. 2% rebate upfront for overseas spent

I have my UOB One for 6 years, never have i been charged annual fees. I remember annual fees are waived if you made at least 3 transactions a month, not sure whether it have changed but i don't know why are you so concerned about the annual fees since practically most people don't pay annual fees in this sub forums. :s13:

I thought for UOB need to hit 7.2k spendings a year to qualify for free waiver? But I think UOB is quite good with waivering of annual fees lar, haven't had an issue with them yet.

7.2k is for uob one alone, or all uob cards combined?

Don't think so, my UOB One less than $4000 spend a year, only meet $300 a month. I have been getting fee waivers without asking. UOB and DBS are very generous with fee waivers, usually no issues getting waivers even with no spend.

Yes, I have never ask for waiver for UOB One, auto waived. Only PPV, Preferred master, amex, priv need to ask every year. I remember got some conditions to get auto fee waiver every year when I sign up, something about 3 transactions a month for fee waiver or something, can call them to ask.

Hi guys, can I check that the monthly minimum charge of $300 for 3.33% rebate is based on calendar month spend or billing cycle spend? Thanks!

Simply spend over S$300 a month to get up to 3.33% in cash rebate per quarter to automatically offset your credit card bills! The more you spend, the more cash rebate you will get.

Assuming your UOB One Card Statement date is 15th of every month, a minimum of 3 purchases with a total minimum spend must be posted before the statement date in order for you to earn the quarterly cash rebate.

qns:

if i apply for this card and do the recurring bill payment for M1, Starhub and Town Council it will add up to ard $182.... the dates deducted from them are different, how to make sure it is within the cut off date of UOB mthly bill?

right now my M1 & Town Council are through giro payment dated 18 and 22/23 of every mth. Starhub i pay through i-banking.

worth to get this card? i cancelled my OCBC frank card. any other cards to recommend for shopping and cash rebates? BOC shop and Singpost must spend a limit then will get rebates... thus i am not comfortable getting them, want to spend as little as possible.

Adjust your statement date. Try not to have the statement date too close to your payment date because sometimes the payment maybe brought forward or delayed by a day.
