if I got this card, and apply recurring payment to pay for my telco and CC bill, are these counted contributing to part of the monthly $300 minimum expenses?
no. u cant pay CC bill, recurring or not, using dis card. in fact, u cant use a CC 2 pay another CC. (not considering cash advance)
also every month u need 2 charge at least 3x 2 d card 2 qualify 4 d qtrly rebate.
You can use DBC card to pay Amex card bills actually.

if one has the option to have his purchases done in SGD or other currency..
anyone knows how's the exchange is like? worth to do in other currency for the 5.33% or not?
Would like to ask the same question - is it worth to use the card overseas?Always use foreign currency, you use SGD in foreign country will always lose out.

Rebate is 5.33%.
If transaction is in non-AUD, non-USD ccy, then as per this
UOB Cardmembers Agreement
....the amount will be converted into USD first and then into SGD.
The link also mentions a admin fee of 2.5% (not sure whether it includes the 1% of Master/Visa or not). Does it mean 5% or 7% of charges (for non-USD or non-AUD expenses)? Or does this double conversion apply only to the VISA/Master fee and not on bank's admin charges? Does anyone know?
When i called up, the CSO mentioned a charge of 2.75% from any ccy to SGD, and there is no differentiation between charging in USD or in a non-USD ccy, which looks to be certainly incorrect.
thanks, So you mean the card is totally worth it with 5.33% rebate and 2.75% charges - still ~2.5% rebate, right? The CSO is correct, all banks will do it this way. Convert all non-USD currency to USD then to SGD. The rate they use is spot rate thus no extra charges involved. You will still expect the rate to be around 2.75% higher than spot rate regardless of which currency you use.
Fxxx! I kena from UOB!
My One card got approved on 15th May and I received it on 16th or 17th and start using it. On this Monday I called UOB to ask about the billing cycle and how to count the period for at least $300, the CS said based on bill statement date. Fxx, but she never told me my May statement date is 24th May! Today kena shocked to received the statement of May, and I missed the $300 mark by less than $50! I could have used it for my Amazon purchases on 21st and 22nd!
My 1st cycle is wasted now, feel so so so so sianz! Even my June, July statement got over $300 also no use right?

This is my 1st card with UOB. Using their internet banking now, may I know, if we are able to see the transaction details of my card? I only have this card with them, no saving account. When I am inside, I can only see the total that I have spent. Unlike SCB, I can see the transaction of the card in internet banking.
