guys, let say i put in 80k deposit into the UOB1 account. Can i say i am guaranteed a 2.43% of interest for my deposit?

no. there are criteria to fulfil. can read tnc but simplified manner is cc spending + (giro or salary). up to 2.43% x 50k + 0.05% x 30k

Anyone encounter this before?

I made payment to the UOB one supp card but the payment was sent to my principal card instead. Check with UOB say that the bill for supp card can be settled only at end of month , after it has been transferred to the principal card bill. It cannot be paid separately.

Every month, the balance from supp card will be transferred to main card account. U only need to pay towards the main card

My encounter is if u use ibanking to pay to ur supp card, payment will reflect in ur supp card. Muz be careful if u hv due cuz it doesnt take into current statemt due.

If u pay via eg. Inets kiosk to ur supp card, it will reflect payment on the principal card.

For the monthly $500 spending requirement, is it by transaction date or posting date? :s8:

I am thinking of using the UOB one card to make monthly payments of 2k for wedding dinner installments to get 5% rebate.

Of course got to remember to do 2 small payments to hit the 3 transactions a mth.

I need help though. Even after reading http://www.uob.com.sg/one/static/media/faq.pdf I am confused as I am an existing customer.

a) I know my Statement date is 12th. , How do I know what my card open mth is?

I activated my card in early June, though I think my application was approved late May. My expiry date is May 2020 though...

Assuming my card open mth is May, the faq http://www.uob.com.sg/one/static/media/faq.pdf says my new quarters are Nov, Dec, Jan.

Does it mean I should start charging and making sure the posting date of my transactions fall from

a)13th Oct to 12th Nov for the first mth
b) 13th Nov to 12th Dec for the 2nd mth
c) 13th Dec to 12th Jan for the third mth

Make sure I hit $2k a month (including at least 3 trans a mth) to get 5% rebate?

Is this correct?

Yes correct. Card open month should be may, same as expiry month, but no harm to call in and double confirm. Try make the the purchases 1 week before statement date to ensure it get posted in the statement month.

Can i check, what happens when i spend above $500 but below $1000? Will i get the 3.33% rebate?

Am thinking of transferring my investment monthly payment (Prud vantage) of $750/mth to UOB One card, and maybe along with UOB One account. Seems to be better than OCBC 360.

Rebate is fixed at 50 / 100 / 300. So u spend 999 for three months also only get 50.

If spend above $500 but below $1000 each month, you get $50 as rebate after 3 months. Effective rebate lesser than 3.33%

If I apply for UOB One CC today and if it gets approved on 9th Sept, my first quarter will be Sept Oct Nov right?
I saw from where before that the first month will be prorated? How will this prorated be calculated?

refer this as guide

after u point out, i went to read. i think its really bad.

If the minimum amount is met in the
second and third statement for the first quarter, t
hen two-thirds of the Quarterly cash rebate
will be awarded.

in summary, before receiving 1st statement, try not to charge, as there will be 0% rebate! as rebate kick in on 2nd/3rd statment on pro rated basis on your spending on 2nd or 2nd+3rd statement. confusing?
well really have to read into the words.

actually should be sep oct nov, first month based on the card opened month. First statement received may be in 2nd month already. Typically not much time to spend in first month

My latest statement date is 23rd Aug. So am I right to assume if the card gets approved by 9th Sept, then for the first month will be 9th Sept to 23rd Sept?

So if I manage to spend $500 between 10th Sept to 22nd Sept, any idea how the rebate prorate will be ?
