i had the same issue. called the contact ctr couldnt give a reason initially. but card later surprisingly approved. went to call contact ctr again, till now bank still hasnt give an explanation why the confusion in the first place!

Hi guys when will they rebate the 10%

Refer to the extracts of TnCs as follows:

"3.2 For the avoidance of doubt, the aggregate Rebate which an Eligible Cardmember may be
entitled to under the Promotion is subject to a cap of S$50.00 per Eligible Cardmember and it
will be awarded to and posted to the Eligible Card(s) account of the applicable Eligible
Cardmembers as a cash rebate no later than two (2) months after the expiry of the Promotion Period."

i dont understand how come my application unsuccessful.

i applied 2nd time today, and they tell me unsuccessful again. i have only gotten 365 1 year ago and payments all made on time. nv take any loan etc, annual salary also meet. quite annoyed cos this kind of delays my plan to clock rebates from account.

anyone can share any tips as to how come i can get rejected??

No. (payment will be deducted directly from your UOB bank a/c)
Currently, the only way to charge SP bill to UOB One card is to go SP Customer Services Centres (Cross Street,*Toa Payoh or Woodlands). They are open weekdays and Sat (8:30am to 1pm)

Note:SP Utilities mobile app can use (only) DBS/POSB Debit/Credit cards to pay

Do u know upon applying uob one acct online..what thing will be received thru mail?
Cheque book, welcome letter, internet banking username and pw separately

Phone access code and pin for coe bidding and what else?

Realise uob customer service really bad and slow, does nt reply email.?..

Apprently UOB is "trying" to make it difficult to waive off the membership fee. If you only have 1 UOB card it should be easier to get waiver.

If I buy something from a merchant website that uses PayPal as payment, but I dont have PayPal accoutn but uses credit card Visa UOB One as payment method, would UOB consider this as online transaction or payment to PayPal (which doesnt qualify as online transaction)?

Base on the TnC only some paypal transactions with some merchants excluded from rebate.

So if the merchant is not excluded should not be an issue.

Other than the card/cheque book, the PIN for this card will also be sent to you in a separate mail. Perhaps, you have been using another PIN at the atm ?

Have you linked the card to the savings account? Think need to go to a branch to do it. Big no no to withdraw cash before linking the card to the savings account, incur hefty cash advance fees.

Edit: what have you applied online? UOB one savings account? Not clear from your query.

If some blog websites use personal PayPal but not commercial, don't think u can get the rebates ur counted towards the tier?

Bought stuff once but with BOC.. Not counted.

buy mineral water or sweets from ntuc/sheng shiong/giant etc, small item purchase will work fine
