UOB now coming up with smelly tactics. They will charge u annual fee $192+. Say waiver not successful, ask u to pay and will give u vouchers instead. If cancel card warn u that u have to pay $100+ for early settlement of your card.

Been receiving calls from 68547708 / 68547299. Guess these are from the sales side.

Better dont spend any big tickets items and cancel ur card before the annual fee. Cos u need to make many calls before u can even get the card cancelled.

What is the early settlement of $100+? U have an existing monthly instalment plan with them?

The person who called me was a lady, vani* 68547708. Keep asking me to pay $192+ annual fee in return for some vouchers or ask u to take up loans. And even if u wanna settle ur balance IPP bill ($300+ only) so as to cancel the card, u have to pay $150 penalty fee. Very unethical indeed. And caused so much stress to the customer. And their waiver request super long. They dont even bother to sms u. U have to keep calling in for weeks.

So what I did:
Cancel all UOB cards
Cancel cash plus
Cancel UOB one account
Dont use any IPP / balance transfer (Cos even if u pay also cannot)

does advance payment affect min spend? say u overpaid 50 last mth, then this mth spend 500. so stmt is 450. still consider 500 spend?

Question to all UOB one card holders, if cancel UOB one card, can still continue to enjoy the UOB one account 2.43% or not?

How much you spend then can get waiver?

For my case if I’m just hitting $500 monthly, will get waived too?

You still need to hit the $500 credit/debit card spent per month to hit the high interest. Have a look at the website to see which other cards are counted for the spend.

Automatic waiver is $1000 spend per month. Not sure if getting $500 monthly can allow waiver.

if you want to hit a certain amount for this card, better not buying airline tix from vietnamairnlines. can't believe it takes that long to show up in the transaction.

The exclusions counted on February statement instead of transaction after 1 Feb.
If yr February statement (2 Jan 18- 1 Feb 18) and u have any transactions for government, LTA, HDB, town council during 2 Jan to 31 Jan, all these transactions will also be excluded and affects th cash rebate for the quarter.
