Actually my manulife insurance due on 15 Dec 2019, because of quarterly spend on Oct and Nov was $1000+ and also Dec is $1000+ ,is a waste to pay the insurance which don't get any extra rebate,so plan to pay insurance before the grace period on 15 Jan 2020,also plan to top up grab account in Feb and Mar to hit the target spending total of $2000 each ,so the money inside my grab account will enough to pay my another AiA insurance due on April, just want to maximize the rebate of this UOB one card, will call cardup next Monday to arrange the payment of Manulife insurance.Thank you.

Take a look at the PM I sent you.

The spend is it based on calendar month or statement month? I am confused by the below which states the 5 transaction must be posted before the statement date

Credit card rebate based on statement date. UOB bank bonus interest based on calendar month. You can call UOB hotline to ask to change the credit card billing cycle to coincide with calendar month so that it is less confusing.

Only thing to be aware of is that you should have a plan B in case UOB decides to exclude Grab topup like they did on the Yolo. It's only a matter of time and if you can't meet minimum spend on other things to meet the quarterly rebate then it could all be in vain.

i called and appeal . the cso says she can try to appeal for the uob card rebate and not the grab rebate .. is this correct ?

It is up to them what they can give out of good will on a case by case basis.

too bad prudential does not have Grab credit card options or generally any Mastercard. Otherwise can top up Grab with UOBone credit card, then use Grab credit card to pay the insurance.

Currently i use uob delight for the insurance and nets flashpay auto topup to earn the 3% SMART$ point. can offset purchase from Giants. If prudential allows grab credit card, will be better benefits to earn the extra 5% cashback.

U sure? My car insurance I asked the CSO is not eligible.

What did you ask?
You charged already, then ask? Or just ask generally about car insurance?
If you asked generally, they can only read from T&C.

I missed my $500 spending by 50 bucks for one month for the rebate, is it possible to appeal?

For the other 2 months, I spent over 600 to 700 bucks.

Why not charge directly to UOB One card? You earn cashback directly if have minimum spending of 500 for 3 months. UOB Delight also need minimum spend of 400 already.
