Mcc is mcc of the favepay merchant. E.g. favepay at restaurant has restaurant mcc.

something like that..

think it's being rolled out progressively to all customers, I remb last time I also did not have this option, but the phone call in mid apr already got this new message.

Can I check if it's paid via recurring payment, does it count? Usually, I'll pay via the app or website, but this month I forgot and the bill was charged to my credit card via recurring.

Government is smart. They don't want to pay credit card transaction fees. Otherwise they will be paying millions each month to credit card companies. So anything government related would be counted under rebate.

Hm. If pay through ipaymy, to iras it will just be a fund transfer, no fee incurred by iras. We pay ipaymy a fee for doing this.

Most CSOs are lazy, so they will ask you what you are paying for. If you tell them income tax payment, they will automatically tell you that it is not eligible.

Like others say, you'd have to ask for the MCC for that particular transaction, or just say is online transaction, and you would like to check if that transaction is eligible.

Edited: I did the UOB chat and asked about my ipaymy and cardup transactions (non-rent), CSO claims both are eligible.
