Anyone got the quarterly and additional rebate credited for grab top up that are clocked before 16 March?

My last quarter statement cycle is from 8 Mar to 7 April 2020 but I only rx 5% rebate but not 10% rebate.

Thot if your cycle ends on Apr, you will only be rx your grab in Jun?

You need to have bill to offset before the quarterly rebate gets redeemed and credited at end of statement month.

Do u mean it’s not possible to just pay 1400 of my 2000 current bill? Though my 600 rebates are gg to come on 30 May, I’m thinking to pay 1400 only and let the shortfall be filled by incoming rebates at end of month. If they charge me for late fee after May, at least I can show the rebates alr offset?

You need to pay fully the April bill, the rebate will not offset the April bill but bill after that.

That’s theirs strategy to make you continue using the card.

to eliminate all your problem whether is it government, excluded merchant code, all you need to do the following:
install grab app
add one card into grab pay
top up grabpay wallet using one card
pay using grab pay and your one card statement will show it is coming from grab instead of hospital, government, excluded merchant and etc...
make sure you hit $500 min every month.

on top of that, I applied for grabpay card and add the grabpay card information into my Samsung pay.
so I earn cash rebate for my one card, one bonus interest, grab points and Samsung pay points(used to earn additional 5% for Grab transaction but I think they revised it and it doesn't apply to wallet top up anymore this march 2020).

if i add grabpay card to favepay and hit the minimum card spending of $500, i get all the rebates, interest and points and also favepay cashback.

hope it helps!

I need help here! I’m so sad when UOB decided to exclude insurance charges to the rebates criteria. I rely mainly on insurance payments to hit the rebates criteria. I do monthly recurring payments of $700 for insurance and $200 for other utilities.
If I were to switch the recurring payments using GrabPay card, I’ll be able to meet the rebates criteria?

You'll probably have to sign up with Cardup or ipaymy to work around this...then again, we dunno when UOB will catch on and exclude those too :(

looks like you are able to hit 1K per month, u may consider charging to Maybank Platinum Visa Card then, they also give quarterly rebate of $100, same as UOB one card for charges of 1k per month. Insurance premium is not excluded for Maybank card from what i see.

I opened the One Account JUST before they announced the new T&C. Sigh. Not sure what to do now. Would it be worth it to apply the Maybank Platinum card and forgo the interest from the ONE Account? My account balance is not a lot.

Bad luck then, depend on what you want, but since you mentioned your balance not a lot, I guess you opened the account just to earn the rebate? For me i want both interest and rebate, so i moved my insurance payment out to elsewhere.

I had the CC some time back without applying for the ONE Account as I didn’t have sufficient cash to sustain the account. When I had sufficient funds to open the account, they decided to remove insurance payments from their rebates. :(

I've relocated here for a few years and yet the banking system in this "first world" city-state never ceases to amaze me:s13::s13::s13::s13: A glimpse of one of my American cc offer for all you to drool on: 15% cash back for spend in restaurant, petro, and grocery up to 1200SGD total spend each month for three months. With a 3% transaction fee in SG I still come up wayyyyy ahead....

However, I am stuck with the ONE card mainly to offset my tax.
Now, if I have over 2k due to IRAS per month, can I arrange 4 bill pays of 1SGD each for Singtel (web/app) or SP just to hit 4 transactions plus the 1 income tax via ipaymy to satisfying 5 transactions plus maximizing the 5% rebate quota (2k)? Obviously I won't be able to pay all tax due with the ONE card but that is as close as I could get.....right?

Thanks guys

Each system has its own plus side. Like US has higher cash back rates and much higher sign on bonuses, with up to 100k miles bonus. SG has higher miles earning rates (can be up to 4mpd in SGD), especially for foreign currency, but with higher fees. My US card earned me 1mpd (in USD). So a US$1k earns 1000 miles for US card, but about 5600 miles for SG card.

However, I am stuck with the ONE card mainly to offset my tax.

Yes, you should be able to do that.

For successful appeal. When do the credit get credited back in? In the next few days or following month?

Was successful to get my $300 instead or $100 due to some tax refund form my overseas spending

TIA
