if there's any refund amount, it will not be counted as part of the 2k spent. you need to spend the amount refunded to clock the 2k mileage.
ya i did re spend that amount already as merchant paypal acc was locked he had to reverse and use another payment method

Why is it that my actual amount spent is not reflected in the app? I counted my transactions manually and they totalled up to be more than $500 but my recorded spending on the card for the interest is only $200+.

Mine is a debit card. I specifically told them I don’t want a credit card. They suggested using a debit card for my UOB One account.

dun see why use debit card unless u not eligible for credit card. Anyway only visa/master card spend on eligible credit/debit card on eligible mcc is counted.

likewise, debit card/ VISA functions have nothing to do with NETS transactions.. both go thru different payment networks.

personally, I would never ever use a debit card. it is one of the worst financial tools ever created.

They gave me a credit card. I cancelled it and changed to debit card.

I don’t like the feeling of having to pay in bulk at the end of the month. I also worry about forgetting to pay my credit card bill. I don’t like to call to get waiver on late and finance charges.

Why is debit card the worst financial tool ever created?

debit cards are actually very useful because they can be Visa/Mastercard eligible AND have a cap on how much you can spend based on balance in the account, much like a ATM (Nets).

it is good for those who's better off not using credit cards in case they spend more than they should.

you're discussing this at the wrong thread, this should be at UOB one account thread. this is UOB One credit card forum. again, NETS is NETS. Visa is Visa. Different organisations and functions.

discipline is the key. make the credit card work for you instead of you working to pay off credit card debt. don't be the guy that the bank earns from interest on his credit card.

the perks and rebates of credit cards are really really awesome if you know how to manage your spending.

FYI, CIMB cards have no annual fees ever. Just get one and GIRO all the way, no need to fear any late fees or calling in for waivers.

Usually those with a irrational fear of credit cards, also have a irrational fear of GIRO cause the banks will "wrongly charge" them stuff.

Lol! I read before that banks could charge wrongly and it’s a bad idea to link GIRO with your credit card indeed!

There are times when I call up the bank and scold them for wrong charges, just to find out that I have really made the purchase.

I cancelled that too. I used to have too many credit cards that I didn’t use so I decided to cancel most of them. And I found that it was difficult to track which one I used even when I was using just two or three. They had different deadlines for payment.

I am down to three cards but I am thinking of cancelling two more.
