Yap, is inclusive of statement date.

This was what I realised a few months ago, posted on another thread.

I had transactions incurred and posted on the statement day and they were included in the statement. The transactions were only done in the afternoon of the day. Hence I thought the statement was only generated at the end of the day.

However, recently, I checked online banking in the morning of the statement date and the statement for the month was already generated. Luckily all transactions to meet the minimum amount have already been posted. If not, I will lose out on the rebates.

To play safe, always give enough time for merchants to post their transactions. Also, don't use the card on the usual statement day as you will not know what time they will generate the statement and whether the merchant will post on the same day. Had occasions where statements were generated only on the next day instead of the usual statement date.

Fill in the form to pay recurring bills is the way to ensure minimum 3 transactions & $300 each month

uob one card

Hi,

would like to ask all guys here a few question...

So if for the very first statement the total spending is $50
then the subsequent statement is $300 for the next 3 months.

1) Will i still get the $30 dollar rebates?
2) If online purchase counted?

UOB One Card

Called the customer service twice.
At first they told me I can use both nets/visa to accumulate for my rebates.
Second time I called again to double confirm after receiving my card. They say can't. Only by using visa will do the accumulation.

Can anyone advise me which is true?

So if I want to use the card to pay bills and accumulate the amount at the same time. The only way is to fill up the UOB bill pay service form? No other ways?

Thanks.

Only visa transaction counts.
For telecom bill, can use giro or online pay.
For utility bill, have to go to sp counter.

So for sp bill, the only way is to head down their counter to make payment? No online service?

Anyway, can I use CC to pay bills throught ibanking?

Is this the first time u are getting rebates? Usually for the first cycle, the rebate is pro rated.

Maybe a pro rated 1 mth rebate of the $150?

Not exactly sure what u mean by stt. but im assuming is spending per month.

Firstly u need to look at the billing cycle on your bill. i believe everyones billing cycle is different. Eg. Nov-jan, Feb-Apr etc.

If u were to spend $1500 in nov, 1200 in dec and 700 in jan, u would only qualify for $30 cashback as each of the 3 month bills are above $300. Try to spend a more consistent amount each month.

Because they pro-rated your first statement. $1500 per month entitle you to $150 but since only 1 month thus only get $50 instead of $150. Your 2nd, 3rd, 4th statement will be the next cycle, just need to spend $300 to get $30. Your spending is so inconsistent, this card is not quite suitable for you.

I have been using scb prudential card for my prudential insurance. Now they changing the terms, instead of 0.9% is now 0.55% so started researching.

Actually this uob card is not bad if you can build up monthly 300 bills. For me no prob with the insurances. Then all daily purchases can charge to this card.

Even worse case scenario, say each month you spend 799+799+799, it is still 1.25%. Still better than the best "general" cash rebate card out there. Of coz for grocery, petrol etc u use other "specialised" cards to get max discount.

Am i right?

For cash rebate, only need to consider manhattan card or uob one, the rest can ignore. For miles then got a lot of option.

After manhattan, won't dividend be a better option?

For example pump petrol?
Cos bills will be at least 50 bucks each time.

I don't have this card yet, and don't have any account with UOB. May I know, if I got this card, and apply recurring payment to pay for my telco and CC bill, are these counted contributing to part of the monthly $300 minimum expenses?

Yes, all counted. UOB include all charges towards this $300 min spend.
