Assuming you are already meeting the usual monthly spending requirement, do you still use this card for overseas usage to earn 2% rebate?
There are better cards for overseas spending. I suggest u check for promotions for overseas spending before u go overseas. If there are no promotions, I will recommend the follow cards for overseas spending:
Amex imagine prepaid card for purchases up to $1000 for merchants that accept amex. rebate depends which credit card u used for top-up + (5% for $50 to $100 spend) - 2.5% foreign conversion fee. You can have up to 5 imagine cards
UOB Visa Signature if spending between S$1000 to S$2000 in foreign currency, equivalent to 5% rebate - 2.5% foreign conversion fee = +2.5%
If your spending is mostly in a category eg shopping (non-departmental store bags, shoes, clothes), dining and leisure (restaurants, hotel, pub, cinema), choose ANZ optimum card, 5% rebate - 2.5% foreign conversion fee = +2.5%. Note there is $30 rebate cap per transaction, so need to break into spending of $600.
