i assume they will be offsetting my bill in the 5th mth for principal card if i spend >$150.. need to jagar the spending pattern liao..

I see, then will be just 1 month delay in the rebate, small matter compared to not getting rebate at all. Good luck on getting the rebate :)

New to UOB One card.
I just called CSO to change card statement date to last day of every month.
Is that the 'best' arrangement in order to get max time within the month to use the card & have rebates reflected ? Any downside setting as last day ?

Haha it really depends on your transactions. If you have recurring transactions like insurance premiums that tend to fall on 30th or thereabouts, sometimes there's a delay and it falls on 1st. So the best thing is to just avoid a cut-off date less than 2 days from the chargable date.

Of course it's understandable that you would want it to be last day of the month for easier tracking, so I'm gonna assume you don't have that issue with your insurance. :)

it's indeed the best arrangement but more for convenient reason. as you don't have to remember some odd cut-off date. mine is on the 24-25th every month and there were already a few occasions i missed the date. i think i need to do likewise too ...

Assuming you are already meeting the usual monthly spending requirement, do you still use this card for overseas usage to earn 2% rebate?

There are better cards for overseas spending. I suggest u check for promotions for overseas spending before u go overseas. If there are no promotions, I will recommend the follow cards for overseas spending:

Amex imagine prepaid card for purchases up to $1000 for merchants that accept amex. rebate depends which credit card u used for top-up + (5% for $50 to $100 spend) - 2.5% foreign conversion fee. You can have up to 5 imagine cards

UOB Visa Signature if spending between S$1000 to S$2000 in foreign currency, equivalent to 5% rebate - 2.5% foreign conversion fee = +2.5%

If your spending is mostly in a category eg shopping (non-departmental store bags, shoes, clothes), dining and leisure (restaurants, hotel, pub, cinema), choose ANZ optimum card, 5% rebate - 2.5% foreign conversion fee = +2.5%. Note there is $30 rebate cap per transaction, so need to break into spending of $600.

Try setting transactions limit to $1 so that you get SMS for every transactions. I have no problem with tracking online as transactions appear once merchants posted it which is usually within 2 days, nothing to do with UOB, all banks does it this way.

Only posted transactions counts. So better charge to the required amount like 5 days before end of qualifying month

I think most transactions are posted quite quickly except ATU, which may take up to a week to post.
