Actually after using other cards, now think back need to Sheng three months 500$ then got 50$. Abit pathetic....
Well if you easily spend over $500 a month then okay lah why not? But if you usually spend less than $500 a month and end up forcing yourself to spend more then its silly lor.

That's what UOB wants you to do. To spend more so they can earn from the CC charge levied on merchants. Why would you want to waste your hard earned money and spend more than you need to?

A problem with UOB One is that it has tiers that are not connected. It used to be $300 then $800 and dunno what. Got gap in between so if I spend more than $300 but less than $800 I rugi.

At least for Manhattan World there is no gap i.e. $1 to $999, $1,000 to $2,999, etc.

Quick question.

From the UOB ONE website, it seems that we get 3.33% only if we spend exactly $500 or $1000 a month.

For example, if I spend $500 a month, I get $50 per quarter.

If I spend $999 a month, I still only get $50 for that quarter right?

Only when I hit the next tier, i.e. $1000 a month, will I get $100 for that quarter.

Am I understanding this correctly?

Yes. So in essence best to spend exactly if not just slightly above the tiered amounts.

My quarter are Aug sept oct. So far I already spend 300 for Aug (already billed at 12th aug). Since this is effective from oct. If I continue to spend 300 for sept and oct do I still get my cash rebate in nov? If not, means this quarter my rebate is gone since there is no way I can increase my spending for Aug?

You should be able to get $30 rebate if you continue to spend 300 for your Sep and Oct statement. The new rebate scheme only applies starting from your next quarter ie Nov, Dec, Jan. You can read the FAQ

I know I can get this by calling them but the officer are not knowledgeable or may provide wrong answer

-Assuming I have the $50k in my UOB one account, I will receive 2.43% (EIR) if I spend $500 spending on my UOB one card. Does the $500 have to be 3 consecutive month or is do i just need to spend $500 monthly?
- Alternatively, the $500 can come from UOB debit card (link to the UOB one account)?
- My UOB one statement date is 16 Aug 2015. My quarterly rebates is Sept-Nov. To get 3.33%-5%, which date is considered to be the 1st mth? My statement date is middle of the month so it is a bit confusing.
Is the 1st month from 17 Aug to 16 Sept or start from 17 Sept to 16 Oct 2015?
- for 3 GIRO, must it be unqiue payee? For instance I have GIRO arrangement to pay my OCBC Card. Let’s say I have 2 OCBC credit card to pay. Is that considered 1 GIRO or 2 GIRO transaction?

You can all the answers if you go and read the TnC. Anyway, need to have posted transactions of $500 in calendar month on UOB One Card and/or UOB Direct Visa Debit Card for bonus interest in UOB One account. This is different from the UOB One card which is tied to statement date. No need 3 consecutive month, get the bonus interest for the month that you meet the spending requirement.

When you say "my quarterly rebates is Sept-Nov", I assume your card opened month (should be same as card expiry month) is either Sep, Dec, Mar or Jun. If this is the case the new rebate scheme start to apply for your Dec, Jan, Feb statements which consists of posted transactions from 16 Nov to 15 Feb. The Sep-Nov quarter will follow the current rebate scheme ie $300, $800, $1500 spending tiers.

Giro for 2 OCBC credit cards is considering 2 GIRO arrangements

Can use UOB Direct Visa Debit Card and not any other debit card. Anyway since you already have UOB One card, no point using the Debit card.

I'm currently charging slightly over 300 dollars on this card per month from recurring bill payments (prudential insurance policies and cable tv), did some calculations and realized that I can at most charge just slightly over 400 dollars if I were to include my other mandatory monthly bills. So I'm at a dilemma if I should try to aim for 500, which means more effort needed to keep track of spending, as well as forced spending if my spending falls short for that month :s27: To add to the complication, the uob one account does seem quite tempting...

By the way, does anyone know if it's possible to charge Great Eastern policies to this card?

current 3 months windows still consider as 300 / 800 / 1500. What is your current quarter? Not everyone start on the new scheme in Oct, could start on Nov or Dec depending on your card start date, so that all 3 monthly statements are after 1 Oct

my new quarterly window is Sept - Oct - Nov.
Does this means the new 500 - 1000 - 2000 will start Dec 2015 for me?
