The Banking (Unsolicited Credit and Charge Cards) Regulations are no longer in force. The governing regulation is now the Banking (Credit Card and Charge Card) Regulations 2013.

Seems like unsolicited credit cards are now allowed for existing cardholders as long as a number of conditions are met.

does that mean the law allows annual fees to be charged with the customer legally responsible to pay, in the situation that the customer did not apply, did not use and did not respond to the bank sending out the card.

Hi can I check.. If I this card for 0% installment, does UOB take into account the total amount signed, or the monthly installment to calculate that month?

If you do not accept the card, it will not be activated. So you will not have to pay any annual fees.

Any promotion currently when you sign up for the upb one card? Like any free gift at road shows?

Write in to MAS to complain. That is definitely a breach of the regulations.

Hi dork32,

As the card account has been made available to you, annual fee charges will apply. Should you need any questions, do drop us a PM.

Hahahha tio pwnd.

OCBC reject my Frank card application when i hold 80k/annum card from citibank, uob, dbs.

Excuse from OCBC letter was "never meet 30k/annum requirement", applier twice and rejected twice same reason! I even went down to their branch. All dont know anything and cant do anything, tell me "i think it is because you dont have 30k/annum requirements".

What the hell ocbc. Lucky i cancelled all ocbc accounts afterwards and urge my friends and family to avoid this bank at all cost. A bunch of clueless people. :(

Ya I can swap 3x to buy things but with the insurance easier to to hit my $500 quota. Trying not to giro my insurance cos this is not the account I credit my pay into. I dun want to every now and then top $ into this account to maintain the $50,000. Will giro those of lesser amt like my telcom bill and IRAS tax. Those stuff I sign to my Uob one cc, I will pay using my ocbc account.

Sorry for being such a noob.

Another question - if I use my Uob one card to pay up my Citibank credit card bill on SAM, is it considered under the $500 transaction? Understand that SAM machine allows one the option to choose debit or credit to charge certain things like buying of stamps, paying Singtel, SP, IRAS and Citibank Credit card.
