@IcYFl4mEz pointed out a very good point that everytime she makes a monthly repayment, that payment "tops up" the credit limit.

The scenario works like this, for simplicity sake, assuming the 7K is split into 7 months repayment, by the end of month 1 when she makes her first repayment of 1K, here credit limit goes up to 4K. Month 2, it goes up to 5K and so forth.

Hence it's really a matter of when she needs to make her next 7K payment... if it's after month 4 repayment and assuming she doesn't spend on the cards for other things, she's free to swipe another 7k in.

However, she can definitely pay off 7K in month 1, no huge implication rather than the 6K could be better off earning interest elsewhere and you run the risk of UOB holding off payment of rebates to UOB one card as there is positive balance on the card.

Haha my bad, I just realise that indeed the credit limit will go up each month as I repay the installment amount.

Unfortunately my sis has called the bank and the CSO said that even if she repays the full amount in advance she will be unable to use the revised credit limit to sign for another installment plan. Sounds like she has to use another card.

if i apply for the card today, what would be the months that i have to spend the minimum thresholds? i gathered that it's every quarterly? jan/feb/mar statement to get paid in apr? or is it dec/jan/feb to get paid in mar, meaning i would miss the jan cashback?

It is heartening to receive an SMS from UOB:
"Your UOB One card cash rebate of S$ 150.00 has been credited on 19-Dec-2015. Continue to use your UOB One card for more savings."

It shows that the 'ONE card, one use' works.

I thought it goes like $50, $100, $300.

Saw this in my statement:

With effect from 1 March 2016, min spend for auto waiver revised from 7200 to 12000. Topup for any prepaid card will not go towards min spend and cash rebates will not be awarded.

Do take note.

$12000 means 2 quarters of $2000 monthly should not be difficult to fulfill.

Website has been updated with the following words in red:

With effect from 1 March 2016, top-ups for any pre-paid card will not qualify as card transactions and such spend will not go towards the minimum spend and cash rebates will not be awarded for such purchases.

http://www.uob.com.sg/assets/pdfs/one_card_full_tnc.pdf

4.1.g is getting longer and longer.
not much different
in this also stated top up card, dated dec 2015

Since the revised T&Cs is dated 15 dec 2015 and it stated the exclusions. So which takes precedence? the T&Cs or the 1 March... very interesting:s13::s13::s13: Think there were some murmurs indicating changes come Feb/ Mar 2016 but didn't know they started as early as Dec 2015
