Hi seniors, to maintain 3% interest, can we withdraw the base interest?

Is the withdrawal of interest on 1st of the month for bonus interest only or bonus+base interest?

Can also withdraw the base interest, as long as your Monthly Average Balance is higher than previous month.

In the app, go into your Stash account then click 'Details'. You will see the Balance to Maintain / Top up required to earn interest.

Usually I check on the 1st day of the month and see 2 transactions. Leaving all the PH/Sunday posting dates aside, I see
1. Interest credit dated on last day of the previous month
2. Bonus interest dated on 1st day of current month

I did not check if #1 can already be seen on the last day of the month. When I check on the 1st, that #1 would have increased my previous month's balance a little. So cannot withdraw the exact total interest received.

Btw those who joined April Cash is King promo, I receive the bonus credit yesterday!
Just withdraw it today. So it pushed up my May balance already.

So now with the extra $320 from the Cash is King, what is the new effective i/r for 100k stash for 5 months with the nerf?

Just do a calc.For example:
The new revised rate yields 2.045% p.a.

The $320 yields 320/100000*12/5 =0.768%

so if you are earning from 1 Jul then the earmarked 5 months on a $100K in stash is nominally =2.045+0.768= 2.813%

But if you deposit in 1 Jun 25, u have one month at current rate of 3.005% p.a. plus 4 months at 2.045% p.a., then it is about:

3.005/5+2.045*4/5+ 0.768 =3.005% !

The Terms & Conditions explicitly stated that the Maximum Effective Interest Rate (EIR) on the Stash Account is 3% p.a. (current total interest) and 2.04% p.a. (revised total interest).

Current total interest
"Maximum Effective Interest Rate (EIR) on the Stash Account is 3% p.a. for deposits of S$100,000, provided the customer’s Monthly Average Balance (MAB) for the present calendar month is equal to or more than the MAB for the preceding calendar month."

Revised total interest with effect from 1 July 2025
"Maximum Effective Interest Rate (EIR) on the Stash Account is 2.04% p.a. for deposits of S$100,000, provided the customer’s Monthly Average Balance (MAB) for the present calendar month is equal to or more than the MAB for the preceding calendar month."

As explained, UOB use of 2.04% is probably a rundown of 2.045% which I used. The difference in the interest is about $2 over the whole 5 months for a $100k deposit (and which I won’t harp over it).

Worse come to worse, CPF :ROFLMAO: (via refund to housing)

For now still can consider Dash Pet 3 year 3%, 5 year 3.2%

Or merry go round ega, mb isavvy, ST esaver. Until something else comes along :(
Buy the base plan $50, add 5 year rider $200k, then buy the insurance for additional 0.75% for $10k?

Base plan leave $1 there can already :ROFLMAO: Also do take note of the risk as Dash Pet isn't FD. It is an insurance product.

As a kind bro mentioned earlier,
"For SDIC PPF, the guarantee is on the aggregated guaranteed surrender value" at point of failure .. not the guaranteed maturity value or the premium already paid

so there is still a likelihood of capital loss if insurer fails before maturity, unlike SDIC DIS if Bank fails"

Sorry for discussing Dash Pet here. We better go to Dash thread for any related discussion.

withdraw all my money from stash account now before earmarked. any alternatives?
Stack with earmark promo the all in rate still quite reasonable for next 5 months. Can't get anything higher for the period. Even if merry go round with esaver and hsbc EGA, the average rate likely to be close to the Stash one of 2%+0.8% (assuming you do 150k). Only down side is you can't access the funds.
