I am transferring out and leaving $3k inside ...

Depending if the 01 July promo (if any) is attractive enough, open a new STASH acct under another family member's name and concentrate all firepower on this new account .....

cant leave, earmarked till 1/10 for nett 3.16% EIR (down from 3.62%) :frown:
May I know how to determine the earmarked release date eg. 1/10 in your case? Mine was earmarked on 18 Mar and I thought it would be release on 18 Aug but would be delighted if it is released earlier. Hope to withdraw everything

if withdraw on 18Aug u'll lose the bonus interest for 1-17Aug
so unless u are able to get a incredible rate return during 18-31 thats able to cover for the 1-17Aug loss, its always wiser to leave it to earn that Aug's interest

Haven't and I personally went to:
Citibank, HSBC, OCBC, Stanchart, Maybank, BOC

and came back with nothing (saw CIMB which looks attractive for premier customer but always find getting their interests more than meets the eye).

The only HYSA that I lack is maybank saveup (I might yet take it up).

Last night went to open eSaver (which i should get 2.65% with the shares I bought for bonussaver) and then do a ding dong at the end of the month with possibly Maybank iSavvy (no use opening HSBC EGA - their offers are not for newly opened accounts).

Times have changed... now earmarked approx 7 mths and interest 2.04% ( Earn up to S$2,040* in interest a year when you maintain or increase your Monthly Average Balance (MAB),as compared to the previous month.).
indeed. just a year ago the cash reward is easily 3x the current one...

not good news for prudent savers.

I usually keep zero balance as lazy to go branch to close or in case got good promo. WIth the coming change in tnc, I have no choice but to close it next week, else kena "inactive" or "zero balance fee"!
