You'll have to find the iOS7.1 .ispw file on the net, REMEMBER! You'll have to download the .ispw file according to your build number, (it will give you a error: This firmware is not compatible) you can find it on the back of your device! Most website offers just either GSM or CDMA versions, you'll have to google harder to find websites that offers specific build number .ispw files to download.

Put your phone into DFU mode and connect to your iTunes, shortly after iTunes prompt you to restore, press and hold 'Shift' and click on the 'Restore' tab, then from there you'll be able to restore selective .ispw files.

P.S i guessed we're unable to use this method to downgrade even further to iOS7.0.x, right? I want the jailbreak damn badly..

Hope this helps!

You cannot further downgrade to 7.0.x afaik if u run the latest iOS and you don't have SH blobs saved (if you have jailbroken it).

I once mentioned in Apple discussion forums that u can downgrade to the previous firmware for about 1-3 weeks after release of the next firmware before apple stops signing the digital signature (the file verification process in itunes and ios OTA update) of the older file even if its legit. Talking about users of fully original firmwares wanting to rollback. (This might still work, it was true during the iOS 4-6 era)

In the end, Apple deleted my post and I almost got a permanent infraction for pointing that out on a few occasions.

Oh so now Apple still signs 7.1 as restoring firmware? Was wondering why could he still downgrade from 7.1.1 to 7.1 since 7.1 is the latest official firmware.

Hey thanks for your verification. Yup I somewhat knew about the apple is signing every os installation hence mKe it impossible to downgrade after the accepted window period of time.

Sources from the net, there probably won't be at jailbreak for iOS7.1 onwards and the next one will be available for the upcoming iOS8.

If you're referring to my situation yes I did manage to successfully downgrade back to iOS7.1 maybe because I did it 1 day after iOS7.1.1 released. Might still be in the window period of time.

Hi guys just a heads up, you cant downgrade back to iOS7.1 anymore, and also. I can confirm the iOS7.1.1 really eats the battery on my iPhone 5S.

Long, rectangular buttons have been replaced with circular ones

by website explanation, left is old interface and right is new one though

Nope. Both is the new interface. Left is when your phone is locked. Right is when your phone is unlocked
