Newest psu in the market.
Seasonic also coming new 1 but only 1000w.
Oh ok, then have to wait to see see. I more curious about different brands of PSU but uses OEM like Seasonic or FSP.

Saw your review.
Good good.
Thanks.. :D

To me, these are good PSU, but some can be loud if its inside a M-ATX case. Example Lian Li A3 or the Asus AP201 where the PSU is mounted at the front of the case.
Another thing is that I totally dislike RTX5090, be it 1000W or 1200W, at Idle it's warm as compared to anything RTX5080 or below. The heat accumulation is abit scary at load. It's really testing out the cable endurance, which I don't think is healthy, if you don't operate it in an aircon room.

Abit loud at load (Cables are flat, easy cablemanagement)
Quiet operation (Cables are flat, easy cable management)
Quiet operation (Cables are well sleeves with cablecomb. Cable management can be challenging)
Some of the above PSU are cheaper, but they do edge out Seasonic Vertex gold series.
For Seasonic, I only like their Vertex platinum or Prime titanium series and they are way too expensive.

if i get a powercolour red devil 9070x & a 1000w psu to put into my PCIe 3.0, any idea how many % can i get from the gpu?
is the upgrade very significant compare to my existing RTX2060s?
of coz u will feel alot difference after the upgrade esp AAA games if u dun use RT. The diff in PCIe 3.0 n 5.0 is the bandwidth the GPU can output. U can google for more info and u will understand more. If u r comfortable with juz PCIe 3.0 den just go with it.

not sure why need to think so much about a 9070xt purchase. my 9070xt works fine on 650w, and as long as u plug the gpu into the x16 slot the performance impact from not using pcie gen5 is generally negligible, even with a 5090.

For PSU is best to get what is required like 700 watt+, running on 650watt will be fine depending on entire PC specs.
Hopefully the PC don't restart since the PSU won't be able to power the 9070xt at full power.
I do encounter a few RX 9700XT rig restart either the PSU not capable to deliver the power require
or the rig not using 3 X PCIE connector.

That is my experience, others will have different experience since different rig will use different type of PSU.

Honestly, just buy the GPU first. IF your PC keeps rebooting or something, then look into upgrading the PSU. 9070 xt is fantastic when undervolted anyway.

Anyway, can wait for 1-2 days for lazada sales. I think last month possible to get one at around 850-870.

Efficiency range normally around 40% to 70% load

I guess 50% is the best load of psu warrage

U count your total energy usage

Typical PSU Efficiency Curve
- Low Load (<20%): Efficiency is poor; even Titanium-rated PSUs struggle here. Idle systems waste more energy.
- Optimal Load (40–60%): Peak efficiency, often 90–94% for Gold/Platinum/Titanium units. Fans may run silently.
- High Load (80–100%): Efficiency declines slightly, and heat output rises. Sustained heavy loads stress components.

---

🔌 Why 50% Load Is Ideal
- Balanced Energy Use: At ~50% load, PSUs convert the highest percentage of AC power into DC power.
- Cooling & Noise: Less heat means quieter operation. Many modern PSUs enable “0 dB fan mode” below ~40% load.
- Longevity: Running at mid-load reduces thermal stress, extending PSU lifespan.

If you want best psu will be Corsair rm850e.
I actually uses Corsair RM850X 2021 model on RTX 5070/Ryzen 5 7600X and Corsair SF850 on RTX 5070Ti/Ryzen 9 7900. Both PC currently super underutilized :s22:

is there a calculator for this?
