I have the same motherboard and yes, it does support 8gb ram modules.

But the lagging problem may not be due to your ram.

Is yours lagging? Your using ssd?

I'm not using SSD.

Perhaps your problem might be a cluttered OS, which a reinstall might help.

Definitely try to do an SSD upgrade before you even think about RAM.

You may not need to reinstall OS. If the current total file size of the HDD is less than the SSD, you can do a clone.

Too early to tell but I doubt it. A fresh reinstallation every year or two is probably expected.
