Upgrade old pc - need help

Hi, I need some expert help with the upgrading of my old pc.

I am currently using a gigabyte ga-ma770t-ud3p motherboard with, 6 GB Ram, AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 925 Processor, ati radeon hd 5770.

Would like to know if I am able to upgrade to a better processor or what can i do?

Personally, I would recommend you head down to Sim Lim and take a look at some of the older generation CPU, motherboard Combos. Then factor in the cost of a GTX 1060, an SSD, perhaps a new 2TB hard drive, and you would be good to go for at leary another 2-3 more years before needing to upgrade your graphics card.

You can upgrade to a better processor like the 1090T for about $50 to $60 but probably not worth it. Suggest you OC your current processor to its max potential instead.

If your current RAM is 4+2GB then you are running at single channel i.e. half speed. Suggest you change the 2GB to another 4GB ($30) instead and run 2X4GB which would then be dual channel.

Finally, add an SSD (256GB at around $100) for your OS and programs. It will make a lot of difference.

Edit: for gaming, you can consider upgrading to GTX 1050Ti ($210) or GTX 1060 ($350) as your current GPU will not cut it for newer games.

It will be a TOTAL OVERHAUL

If you wish to stick to this platform

An SSD is the best bet followed by changing the 2gb to a 4gb

have a budget of about $800, just need the motherboard,cpu,gpu,ram, psu(if need to change) not too sure of amd/intel

I take it your Seasonic 620W is an M12ii or S12ii?

And you have a 1TB SH HDD, so lets use back those.

MSI H110i Pro AC is itx board with a Wifi so that is nice.
G4560 is a budget CPU which should easily play games like Dota and Battlefield 1

2* 4gb sticks for dual channel mode. You can go for 1 8gb stick and upgrade later if you wish.

Galax 1050Ti should easily push medium/high settings of most games at 1080p
