Headwinds May Keep Costco Shares From Moving Higher
May 28, 2021

the company is still expected to grow long into the future, and it pays a very safe dividend. The problem that we have with the stock right now is that it's very highly valued, it pays a very low yield, and the revenue comps in the next quarter are going to be very very tough.

We could be wrong, the stock may be ready to move higher, but we don't think so. In our view, this stock is ripe for another correction that could shave 5 to 10% of value off of share prices.

hmmm... not sure if i am missing something here.
opponents of STI say STI no tech stocks, no global stocks, not diversify. keep on saying S&P500 good S&P500 together.

if frm 2011 till now using some developed markets ETFs, (becoz dis is as far back as they hav data)
nasdaq is best performer (>300%)
japan with all its global manufacturers (125%)
china and HK big economy big tech (38% and 4%)
isreal with all its medical and tech innovative co (-7%)
london established co, diversified (-8%)

no doubt sti is worst performer (-20%)

my point is be careful when someone try to sell u s&p fund or for dat matter, any fund. u dunno wht benefits they may be getting.

interestingly if go back 10 yrs, gold will be the best performer (>200%).
so0zp

will the same ppl sell u gold fund 10yrs ago?
updating comparison. dis time i use index or closest to index available in investing.com

nasdaq win evyone handsdown
S&P500, Rusell 2000, New Zealand similar performance
japan, germany 2nd league
Australia, FTSE 100, shanghai, singapore, malaysia, israel, hongkong, GLD at bottom

fund managers/advisors wanna sell u S&P500 funds they will of coz all say good things abt the index, but if apply to their argument elsewhere, it does not seem to hold well.
looks to me S&P 500 is up up up not juz becoz it is broad diversified and a lot of tech. but oso becoz money are pouring in. juz like all put money into GME or doge, will ultimately push price up.

remb alwys, dyodd. we will nvr know behind the selling, wht the promotors are getting any kickbacks anot.

short term head wind. 50 and 200 ema meeting soon. and fibo50 will act as strong resistance. RSI still down trend.
consolation is funds still accumulating.

now no more money to buy. only can wait for auntie cathie to do her magic.
tvc_39f1ebadfec9c11af35588d9a5d8afcc.png

not nice candle pattern. RSI tail downward.
ema200 and fibo50 coincide. see if 111 support can hold.
if turn down frm here, it will form lower high and lower low.

Asia shares off 3-month highs, caution ahead of U.S. payrolls
Jun 02, 2021 10:25PM ET

The U.S. Federal Reserve published its "Beige Book" report, which pointed to labour shortages and inflation pressures.

Investment managers too are becoming increasingly worried with BlackRock (NYSE:BLK) Founder Larry Fink the latest to warn that the market was underestimating the risk of higher inflation.

Philadelphia Fed Bank President Patrick Harker also restated his call that "it may be time to at least think about tapering our $120 billion in monthly Treasury bond and mortgage-backed securities purchases."

The Fed has already announced it would begin unwinding the corporate bond holdings it acquired last year to calm credit markets at the height of the pandemic.

Yes, the SEC has noticed Elon Musk’s Tesla stock price tweet
Jun 1, 2021
The Securities and Exchange Commission believes Elon Musk has violated his 2018 settlement agreement twice, according to correspondence obtained by The Wall Street Journal between the SEC and Tesla. The agreement requires a lawyer to approve his tweets about the company.

Tesla Can Create Its Own Catalyst. Split the Stock Again.
June 1, 2021

Another split might not drive shares up 81% in a matter of weeks again, but it might help break the stock out of its recent funk. Tesla stock is down about 12% year to date, trailing behind comparable gains of the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average as well as other automotive stocks.

Whether or not a stock split is a positive fundamental catalyst for a stock is up for debate. Stock split bears point out that a stock split doesn’t really change anything about a company’s fundamentals.

to me it is worth it. 1) 70% divys still in pocket. 2) i dun like large daily fluctuations of growth stocks. 3) i dunno how to see wht is the hot stock of the mth. 4) growth stock i nid to sell to realise the profits. divys are cash direct into accnt.
den i can use the cash to buy more stocks or for other uses.

of coz growth stocks the returns is better than div stocks. see which is good for yr own portfolio.
i oso hav growth/speculative stocks. but divy stocks is bigger % of my overall portfolio.
