For Swiss ADRs (for e.g. ABB), would it be more tax efficient to buy the counter direct on the Swiss exchange (for e.g. ABBN)? Not sure if anyone studied the tax implications for this one.
mayb dis will be helpful:
https://taxsummaries.pwc.com/sweden/individual/income-determination
Investment income and capital gains are normally taxed at a 30% flat rate.

nvr try be4 to see overseas exchanges except US due to ridiculously high comms. mayb nxt time moomoo or syfe can giv comms free trades.

Illumina Stock Plunges Despite Strong Results, Gene-Sequencing Sales
May 6, 2022

Both sales and earnings beat consensus forecasts, but not by as much as Illumina’s 2021 performance seems to have led investors to expect. In Friday morning trading, the stock sank 14.5% to $249.37.

Wall Street analysts trimmed their price targets, while leaving their stock ratings intact.

talking abt many analysts reports. when share price up they raise the target price. when share price down they lower target price. like no independent analysis. if like dat, yes blue collar or uptron can do the same task.

Inflation, rising interest rates, and wars are unfortunately relatively common variables in the span of market history, even in modern times. Investors grounded in reality and focused on long-term wealth creation should fully expect to confront these changing circumstances. Indeed, a more careful look shows that it was the absence of inflation, the continued presence of low-interest rates, and a comparatively sanguine geopolitical environment that was the anomaly.

3 Reasons Why Companies Cut Their Dividends (With Examples)
Updated on April 29th, 2022

Reason #1: Business Downturn
This happens more frequently during recessions and other periods of economic decline, when corporate profits typically drop as the economy contracts. A notable example of this was the coronavirus pandemic that started in early 2020. Many businesses were forced to shut down during the pandemic, which caused their revenue and earnings to fall. In turn, many companies cut their dividends during 2020-2021.

Reason #2: Overleverage
For investors looking to avoid this type of dividend cut, implementing cutoffs with respect to leverage metrics (such as the debt-to-equity ratio or the net-debt-to-EBITDA ratio) is an excellent place to start.

#3: Change in Capital Allocation Policy
One way to avoid dividend cuts is by looking for companies that have long histories of rising dividend payments. This shows that a company’s management team is shareholder-friendly and prioritizes consistently delivering cash payments to shareholders over time.
