ADM Reports Third Quarter Earnings of $0.72 per Share, $0.77 per Share on an Adjusted Basis
10/31/2019

“We delivered solid third quarter results, consistent with the perspectives we provided last quarter, despite a difficult external environment,” said Chairman and CEO Juan Luciano. “We maintained our focus on serving our customers and advancing our strategic goals, and continued to realize the benefits of the actions that we took earlier this year.

“We are excited about our strategic growth activities, and particularly our participation and leadership in major global trends such as flexitarian diets, nutrition for health, and sustainable materials. We have invested in assets, platforms and technological capabilities to serve and grow with our customers, who are embracing these market-changing trends.

“While external conditions for certain businesses may remain fluid and potentially challenging in the near term, our growing leadership position in major global trends, and our strength in innovation, efficiency, and customer service, position us well for stronger results in 2020 and beyond.”

thank you for support and encouragement!

most US dividends aristocrats are expensive now. I take only small positions now. watchlist includes the bluechips american evergreen companies KO, PG, JNJ, MMM, WMT. I do like oso HRL, BF

unfortunately i dun know of anyway to reduce 30% tax. and i dun know cost effective way to buy LSE. (custodian and platform fees are a killer, considering i do not trade often)
but i am optimistic dat the divys increase and price appreciation will be higher over the long run dat it is worthwhile to hold US stocks.

look for stocks in yr home country if really dun like tax.

for SGX those divys payers are currently reits and a few established companies. but then reits are also fair value to expensive now.

Chevron Reports Third Quarter Net Income of $2.6 Billion
11/01/19
Cash flow from operations of $7.8 billion
Share repurchases of $1.25 billion

Chevron Corporation (NYSE: CVX) today reported earnings of $2.6 billion ($1.36 per share - diluted) for third quarter 2019, compared with $4.0 billion ($2.11 per share - diluted) in the third quarter 2018. Included in the current quarter was a tax charge of $430 million related to a cash repatriation. Foreign currency effects increased earnings in the third quarter 2019 by $74 million.

“Third quarter earnings and cash flow were solid, but down from our very strong results of a year ago,” said Michael Wirth, Chevron’s chairman of the board and chief executive officer. “Lower crude oil and natural gas prices more than offset a 3 percent increase in net oil-equivalent production from last year's third quarter.”

The strong 4.5% growth was again driven by both positive volume and higher pricing.

"We are very focused on sustaining this growth momentum by continuing to innovate in our core businesses, pursue adjacent categories and expand into new markets and channels. We also continue to invest behind our brands, with our advertising investment increasing in absolute dollars and as a percent to sales versus third quarter 2018.
