STRATEGIC EVOLUTION
"During the past decade, we have made a series of thoughtful decisions to transform Hormel Foods into a global branded food company," Snee said. "Our transformation has been marked by numerous strategic acquisitions and divestitures, deliberate shifts away from commodity products to consumer- and operator-focused products and purposefully integrating areas of our company through initiatives such as One Supply Chain and Project Orion. Our success today is a result of these efforts."

FISCAL 2022 GUIDANCE
"The momentum we gained in the third and fourth quarters gives us confidence heading into fiscal 2022, and we expect all four segments to deliver sales and earnings growth," Snee said. "Strength in the Planters® snack nuts business and organic growth in each segment will drive growth in excess of our long-term growth goals."

Effective Nov. 15, 2021, the company paid its 373rd consecutive quarterly dividend at the annual rate of $0.98 per share.

Dividend Kings In Focus: 3M Company
Updated on December 1st, 2021

Dividend increases have slowed down, as the company preserves more cash flow for growth investment.

However, there is still a lot to like about 3M. The company spends heavily on R&D, which has allowed it to create numerous new products that add materially to its long-term growth.

And, 3M’s dividend track record is nearly unmatched, while the current 3.4% dividend yield is very attractive.

3M’s total projected returns are very near 10% annually, which makes the stock a buy in our view. We believe 3M has great potential as a long-term holding for income investors.

Dividend Kings In Focus: American States Water
Updated on December 2nd, 2021

Final Thoughts
AWR is much more interesting than the average utility stock, as it has some exceptional characteristics.

It has grown its earnings per share at a high single-digit annual rate over the last decade. This is much better than the low growth rates of most utilities.

In addition, the business of AWR includes a non-regulated segment, which provides recurring revenues for 50 years and offers significant growth potential.

However, investors should realize that the market has fully appreciated all the virtues of AWR.

With a negative expected five-year return, AWR stock receives a “sell” rating.

Dividend Kings In Focus: Becton, Dickinson & Company
Published on December 8th, 2021

Final Thoughts
After raising its dividend in November, BDX is now a member of the exclusive Dividend Kings list.

It has maintained 50 consecutive years of dividend increases due to its top position in the healthcare industry.

And, thanks to the aging U.S. population, the company should benefit from this long-term growth catalyst. This should allow BDX to continue raising its dividend for many years to come.

In addition to being a strong dividend growth stock, BDX is reasonably valued. We see the potential for annual returns just above 10%, making BDX stock a buy.

Dividend Kings In Focus: Target Corporation
December 9th, 2021

Final Thoughts
After raising its dividend by 32% in June, Target eclipsed 50 years of annual dividend increases. As a result, Target has joined the exclusive Dividend Kings list.

It has maintained 50 consecutive years of dividend increases due to its leading position in the retail industry. It has also adapted the difficult climate for brick-and-mortar retailers extremely well, thanks to new store formats and huge investment in e-commerce.

The company should benefit from these growth catalysts. This should allow Target to continue raising its dividend for many years to come.

With an elevated valuation compared with its historical averages, Target stock does not appear to be a buy right now. We expect mid-single-digit annual returns for Target stock over the next five years, making the stock a hold.

3 Dividend Stocks to Buy for Rising Interest Rates
5d ago

Aflac, Commerce Bancshares and JPMorgan are three names that we feel will see immense tailwinds from higher interest rates. Each name has a dividend yield greater than the average yield of the S&P 500 Index and trades with a low valuation.

For investors looking to profit from higher rates, these three stocks could be attractive options.
