I highly recommend round trip, one way fees crazy high usually

just book via car rental aggregator from outside USA. Generally one-way fee waive for rental within california. Also, the rates usually comes with CDW already. so no need to pay extra. Rental rates ranging from S$30-S$60 (compact to people carrier).

Anyone been to The Outlets at Orange, and Citadel Outlets in LA?

Which is the more worthwhile to go in terms of bargain buys?

Tried googling but most of the comparisons are dated years ago.

TIA

Bargain buy as in clearance section? If so no way to tell.
Just regular outlet offering no difference. Which brands you going for?

Say u wanna buy coach or kade spade or tumi then orange missing the stores. RL at both locations only diff is their tiny clearance section lucky deals better than Black Friday

been to citadel...typical US outlet mall. what do you mean bargain buy?
outlet discount can be 10-20% or more...
well if u want real bargain buy...look out for their black friday thanksgiving holiday sale. doors open in the evening and prices slashed 50/60%...discount on top of discount

Please recommend an airline other than SQ to fly from Sin to SFO. I am going for a business trip and due to company policy we have to choose the cheapest option

All the airlines economy seats are cramped... not much difference between airlines. Take premium economy or business if you are really very big sized.

Your company don’t give premium economy? Usually for long haul business trips company will at least pay for premium econ.

Unfortunately no i have to get the cheapest option. However I don't mind to top up myself to get premium economy if the airline allows me to upgrade for class K/V fare

if u can get yourself a deal, SQ on PE on direct flight ard 1.4k-1.5k. otherwise, the cheapest option are generally the China airlines. transit a trouble though.

The question on what is cheapest and how it is compared is an issue though. direct flight is 14-16 hours. transit can be significantly much longer.

Are u referring to China Eastern Airline? May I know why know the transit is a trouble? And also how is the overall long hual flight on China Eastern?

min 4-5 hours more? u can use google flights or skyscanner to find the dates that you want. Heard that transit in China need to collect lugguage and check in again, this quite troublesome. not sure of still this way.

There is an expression on FlyerTalk forums - 'Friend won't let friend transiting thru China'. Enough said.

You don't have many options in your situation. There are two non-stop flights - SQ and UA. UA is slightly cheaper. PE will cost you $500-$1000 more compared to standard Economy. With UA you have an option of buying Economy+ (not PE) seat which will be about USD $190 more per direction. It is standard E seat, just a little bit more legroom.

Any other options would be worse compared to non-stop because it will be with stops and/or with stops at locations and carriers which are not greatest to be politely speaking - above mentioned China flagged carriers or Philippines Airlines, for example. The best alternative is to have SIN-TYO-SFO with ANA/JAL but it will be more expensive even with standard Economy, compared to non-stop with UA/SQ.

Its hard to help cause his terms are cheapest but yet want comfortable.

A lot of restrictions. Well you could book China airlines or China related which probably is cheapest then miss your connecting flight and miss your meeting. Guess you also won’t be answerable since your company want you to choose the cheapest

Just use Skyscanner for your dates, come back with the companies you want I think easier for people to comment

When I went to North America 2 years ago, I had plenty of time. I bought a super cheap Singapore-HK ticket on Tiger and a relative cheap HKG-US-HKG ticket on Japan Airlines for approximately S$700+. I could deal with the transit in Narita/Haneda cos the flight from Asia to US was too long for my comfort. Was happy to break the journey and have a ramen at the airports and also buy Kit Kats!
