I'll be bunking in the Meatpacking district, near Chelsea Market.

I've bought a 4 attraction pass and am planning to use them on the totr, the met museum, 9/11 memorial and uss intrepid.

Also, i'm soloing this trip. :)

Whole Foods is a big organic supermarket, more expensive version of Trader Joe’s.
.

First time seeing Whole Foods gets compared to trader joe
Trader joe only sell non GMO, non GMO doesn’t mean organic
Both places similar in size imho

Wholefoods is everywhere. They sell nonorganic and gmo stuff as well, just a more eco friendly vibe. They are owned by amazon btw.

Yes but lesser. Majority still organic
Trader is more like half or a third. Trader is like Costco offer their own brands. Pretty high quality without the crazy prices

I wouldn’t say they are everywhere, u may find a Mac or Starbucks but u may not find a Whole Foods lol

I wasnt sure if there was much to see at ground level of the ESB. Is there? Im heading to the top of the rock's observatory.

Did anyone here buy passes from "new york city pass" and "sightseeing pass"? There are so much mixed reviews about them.

I will be there around the same period as you. Leaving this Sunday night.

I bought the Explorer Pass (smart destinations) from Klook for 7 sights. Out of the 7 sights, 6 will be walking tours and the 7th destination will be ESB.

Hi all, I will be going to LA with my gf from 8 Jun to 15 Jun. So please help with any inputs for food or shopping etc. I will be most appreciative of any feedback.

8 Jun Sat:stay over at relative place.

Sun:travel to downtown. Going to book accomodation at there.

Monday: Hollywood, walk of fame, dolby theatre, Chinese theatre, paramount studio tour, maybe Mdm tuss and Ripley museum of got time. Lunch at in and out burger.

Tues: universal studio.

Weds: Chinatown, olvera Market, Little Tokyo.

Thurs: getty museum tbc. go to citadel outlet for shopping. After that might go catch a dodgers game at 7pm. Alternative is to move to santa monica and see the beach etc.

Friday: knotts

15 Jun Sat: explore the area before taking uber to lax to denver. Will probably have 2 Medium and 1 large luggage. Not necessary to book uberxl right?

Public transport/uber/lyft all the way. Car rental probably on Thurs and Friday to save costs.

I will purchase the go LA pass for 3 days.

Any advice on SIM cards for Seattle? Can't seem to find much concrete information online

The advice for Seattle is pretty much the same as anywhere else: find a T-Mobile store, they'll sell you a SIM for thirty bucks that lasts for three weeks, and (especially in big cities) they're very comfortable with overseas tourists.

Downtown LA is boring. Stay in West Hollywood or Santa Monica (also it'll be cooler the closer to the ocean you are), LA in summer is a heat-blasted hellhole).

Cool! Another newb question, does nyc have a local supermarket chain? Like the NTUC, ASDA, Tesco, sainsbury sort. :D I dont see a 7-11 or trader joes near my hotel.

Primary reason is just need bottled water and fruits.(hotel doesnt have breakfast) :/ Will their local mama shops take card too?

This goes for everywhere: just drop into a CVS or Walgreens (which operates under the Duane Reade brand in NYC). Those are the equivalent of the chain convenience stores.

Hmm I don't think heat is a big issue considering that the average highest temp in Jun is like 26 degrees Celsius. Sg averages about 30 deg throughout the year.

I am more keen on the accessibility, must try food and safe night activities to explore.

I saw some night places to avoid are Santa Monica and skid row are places as there are some undesirable people around.

What's your view on this?

That's the average. I was in LA during the heatwave last year when it hit 46 Celsius (not a typo, forty-six; 115 in the old money). Walking along Hollywood Boulevard was like standing in front of a blow-dryer.
