- I can't drive! (Probably have to get around on flights).

Anybody else in the group can drive?

If not, sorry but most likely US is not for you then. You have to be part of the organized group via bus or hire a car with driver which would most likely cost $1000 per day.

If as a couple, no drivers. If as a group of 4, one driver. Possible to get around this by joining some bus tours? I googled and found some that offer 6 day tours for around US $600 per person including accommodation. http://www.tours4fun.com/7-day-yellowstone-national-park-mt-rushmore-bus-tour (dot) html

Does that solve the problem?

To me - it does not. In US outside of Manhattan if you do not have car, you are without legs.

Look, you have to rely entirely of bus schedule and itin they create - you are not going to have any leeway outside of bus stops at scheduled places. If that works for you - go ahead, but just remember - Yellowstone is three times larger than Singapore, you can't and won't be able to see it in two days or two weeks even when have your own car.

P.S. Checked the link - it says Yellowstone AND Mt Rushmore. AND the start City is San Francisco:

Take a look at the map - it is 1500 miles distance.

I've driven from San Francisco to Yellowstone, it required stop at Twin Falls for night and our average drive speed was 80mph. Bus will go way slower.

Translation - from 6 days you 3.5 day will spend on road. They will bring you at Yellowstone, take to Old Faithful, give you two hours to take photos and hush to another place. You won't see anything.

Take my advice - get someone who drives and get a car.

Must book one year ahead for accommodation in Yellowstone,
Even if you are not staying in Old Faithful Inn, must book ahead for the buffet dinner.
The steaks are great and it is value for money.
Need to spend at least 5 days driving around Yellowstone.
If you can't stay in Yellowstone, then stay in the hotels outside the gates to the Park.
Still you have to stay at least 2 days in the park to cut down on driving to the park daily.

Chicago and Washington, no drive also no go?

You can get around with trains and Uber, which is cheaper than taxi. Just avoid rush hour.

And in both places you should avoid going to places where normal person should not go unless you have a bulletproof vest and assault rifle with you.

Seems NH fares to IAD is getting more and more expensive. Seems like the average price is around $2k+ nowadays... That is scary... Used to see $1k+ fares but nowadays it's almost non-existent.

My alternative nowadays is QR ($1.5k promo) and CA ($1.1k average).

I think I'll lean with QR on their promo fares, the A359 to Doha should be nice.

Anyone have any recommendation for opening a US bank account in Singapore?

You can't, neither in Singapore (for sure), nor in US. Unless you are US resident - means you have SSN, green card/citizenship or long term staying visa for US.
