Not true. You can enter USA again, however there is great possibility that will be arrested at the entrance and traffic infraction could by that time turn into misdemeanor or felony. Which means that not only you will need to pay the original fine and all the interest the fine generated (could be 10x and more of the original amount), but serve time into "pound my a$$ federal prison" (C) "Office Space".

One thing is not paying $20 parking ticket and second is to get ticket for 95 mph 50mph zone and leave country without paying.

So. Don't do it.

US government departments functions quite differently from Singapore's. They are not well connected at all and seldom even talk to each other. Not to mention the police that gives you speeding tickets are not even federal police, just police acting on behalf of a small county. Usually when they see a foreign passport, they know the chances of getting you to pay up is so low they will just let you go on the spot. Having you arrested at the airport for traffic fines is basically impossible. They are not even going to bother unless you are some major criminal.



Also, be careful when driving through small towns. A lot of these small towns depend on fining people for traffic offense as a form of income. My first ticket came from driving at 30 mph in a small town that puts 20mph speed signs around with road condition that can definitely go way above that.

Yes just don't get caught again in that county or one may end going to sit in the police station and be getting a bigger fine.

Some states such as Washington over 30 mpg means go in and enjoy a free meal at the police station. One time they let u go, happen again same trip might bring one in and you can pay with your credit card on the spot.

in cities like Chicago or New York City, don't pay basic parking violation next time kena risk getting wheel lock or veh tolled. My pal kena lock b4 thinking can Siam since over 1 yr ago. End up paying over 10x the amount.

I met students from Malaysia years ago knowing they wouldn't return to USA run up debts on all possible credit cards. Return rich buying jewelry spending over $20k.
Perhaps they get this! Wouldnt get arrested even coming back. Not suggesting it's right..

What i meant was the journey from Philadelphia to Washington D.C, instead of taking amtrak train how about renting a car to do a long loop via Harrisburg to visit the civil war attractions around the area i.e Gettysburg?

Is there any civil war attractions u would recommend in Pennsylvania?

However if you bought them separately then you have to follow the domestic rules

It varies from state to state. The federal gov does not issue license

Hmm, I have a couple (2-3 days) tentatively allocated for driving around in Pennsylvania so long distance shouldnt be an issue. With time taken to visit attractions, probably limited to 100+ mile radius from philly.. up till Harrisburg?

Only legal residents can get license. So if you are there on a visit pass or visa waiver, they will not let you get a license. Usually need proof of legal status there plus proof of address (ie rental agreement), no need to stay long for it to be allowed as long as you have the legal status.

Cost depends if you already know how to drive and have a valid out-of-state license or not (either other state or other country). There will be one theory test plus one practical test. If you do not have a valid out-of-state license, then you will need to apply for a learner's permit. Then if you do not know how to drive, you will need someone with at least 1 year in-state license to teach you (probably varies with each state) or find a driving school. Practical test you will need your own car. Each step/test will have different fees in different states.

Some cities on certain dates are $9xx. Some of the transit timing is really long.... can do day trip to Tokyo... and some connections need to change airports (Haneda and Narita )...@@
