Shay Baloor says wait for the dust to settle, let the winners prove themselves in SaaS in this new era of Agentic AI replacing human customers.
This is also my view.

Just like NVO went into a long downtrend more than 1 year during the GLP wars because NVO stood to lose out on diabetic drug biz.
NVO was not an immediate buy just because it went down. The big catalyst only came by the end of 2025 when NVO got approved for oral Wegovy ahead of Eli Lilly.
If you bought NVO too early, then 1 year of capital wasted being locked up in a downtrending stock, while other sectors like neoclouds and space stocks are rocketing up.

You can choose to listen to Adam Khoo (less than 10% YTD) or listen to Shay Baloor (up +23% YTD).
I am not familiar with Shay Baloor. Did he publicise his gain over the few years?

At least From AK lastest video he got show his consistent gain over the past 7 years.

Btw there is no right or wrong way if one can make consistent profit over a couple of years. Some people are more young/aggressive went for higher risk stocks that do not have consistent cashflow or even make money at all while others like AK the conservative kind who only went for good profitable businesses. High risk high gain low risk low gain depending on one’s appetite for risk.

AK is not my idol( I don’t follow him blindly) but he introduced to me through his youtube about the ideologies of Warren Buffet (the GOAT), Benjamin Graham ( Father of value investing) & Peter Lynch (legendary investor).

So much of my investing philosophy is follow these 3 person.

Cut loss on MRVL. All technical indicators have turned negative in spite of the AI good news of more capex spending by TSMC.
Took profit on IREN, in view of the approaching Jan FOMC meeting likely to create some reverse reaction.
Wow! Nearly followed you for MRVL but sold at a profit the last I bought. Technicals a bit weak

Shay Baloor is like Kelvin Learn investing, Boon Tee type of investors where all celebrate during bull run or bull anyhow run era. When the dust settled, all these usually game over. Today we see 95% of YouTubers making a lot of money. I think not sustainable la. Then who losing money? The towkays?

Recent pullbacks give me chance to look at Mastercard. Future is going to be a lot of tech and this is the big era of technology. But we shouldn’t avoid those boring companies that is making a lot of money.

Visa and Mastercard are not lenders. Many people still think they are credit card companies but they are not. So they are like the fintech linking up vendor's bank and consumer's bank. If Trump restrict the interest rate to 10%, the credit card issuing banks lose the profit, not Visa and Master. They earn a small fee per swipe.

With lower CC interest rate, consumers will spend more and swipe more. However the issuing bank may also lower down the credit limit because it is higher risk to them when the interest collected is unable to cover for defaults.

Both Visa and master are fairly valued now. These duopolies live and die together lol.

I think both the same but I feel Mastercard more exclusive. I use both but Visa cheapen the Visa infinite status whereas Mastercard global elite very powerful. That is why my preference is Mastercard
I have a visa and a mastercard but I have no sensing that one is more exclusive than the other. To me the most exclusive cards are the ones with lifetime fee waiver.

2years+ ? What happens before ? What is the size?
His portfolio was publicly initiated at that time. If you compare it with Adam Khoo's portfolio over that same time, AK only went up about 150% to 200% so it is double the performance.

But what is his portfolio size? You need to compare likes with likes, certainly you cannot say someone is more capable because he got a higher % gain in a small portfolio compared to someone with a lower % gain in a big portfolio?

Comparison Table: Small vs. Large Portfolios

FeatureSmall Portfolio Large Portfolio
AgilityHigh (can pivot instantly)Low (takes weeks to change strategy)
Available StocksUnlimitedRestricted to Large/Mid-caps
Market ImpactZeroSignificant (moves the price)
VolatilityOften higher (higher risk/reward)Generally lower (diversification required)

Also Oct 2022 is the start of the bull run which just emerge from the 2022 bear market. If he initiated in Oct 2023, I wonder if he got wiped in the 2020 covid flash crash & 2022 bear market and restart his account. AK is ride through the ups and downs and he also got a dividend account the same size as the screenshot (because he diversified which is typical of a large portfolio).

In another words, AK's portfolio is tested and proven to be resilient by tiding through at least 2 bear markets (2020 & 2022) but the person you recommend has not yet proven to be so.

is this one of those copy trading websites?

if copy trading works, there should be a lot more billionaires than there are now.....
I follow him, but not subscribe.
But even if you know what he is doing, replicating performance is a different matter when your own money is on the line. Some of his views, I agree. There are many I disagree, like he picks OKLO when I think it is a scam stock. Unfortunately, that scam stock is up alot, so I'm still wrong (about making money aspect).
