ATLS has picked up pace the last two days...interesting...think everyone is trying to round up their shares pre-split. Good...then the stub will be of more value.. :) (vested)

MEIP is again taking me on a little joyride...i wonder if it will be a journey to no where again... (vested)

V is bleeding again. Looking forward to reading more comments on the latest articles on seekingalpha regarding this stock...not too worried cos going long on this. Happy to sit around and wait. Might average down as it dips...after the split.

Sigh...of my lil portfolio...only AAPL is doing ok in general...among the big boys that i hold.

Oil price drops below $60
WTI doesn't seem to hold the $50 too.

LMT breaks $200
BA doing great.
MA rise further, possibly breaking $90
MNST is already $120+.

Looks like the market is gonna continue climbing ever higher.

BYRON WIEN: Too many people are getting worried about the bull market in stocks
From the Business Insider

Sebastien Nogier Byron Wien Blackstone's Byron Wien called for a 15% gain in the S&P 500 in his predictions for this year.
Now, Wien has pared his expectations, but that doesn't mean he's overly worried about stocks.Â

Or that other people haven't gotten too worried about the market.

In an interview with CNBC on Thursday, Wien reduced his forecast to 10% growth from 15%. Wien said even though a strong dollar and weak oil prices may dent company earnings, there will be outliers that investors can profit from.

And even though there's reason to be skeptical of the bull market, too many people are afraid of stocks right now:

"At the beginning of the year, most people were looking at $125 earnings for the S&P 500. They're looking at $120 or lower now. So it means that the S&P is going to have a flat earnings performance for 2015, and that's not the stuff that bull markets are made of. So my view is that the people who are cautious make sense. But I think that too many people are moving to that side of the boat, and I think the market may surprise you favorably."

He added that although it won't be a big year for multiple expansion, there's still money to be made because "the market is not expensive."

"The market is only selling at about 17 times earnings, it's not in bubble territory. So I think the market can make 10 percent progress from the beginning of the year."

Stocks have had a bumpy start to the year. The S&P 500 fell 3.1% through January, and has returned around 2.2% to investors year-to-date. Still, the index surged to a record high of 2,100 on Tuesday, and on Thursday, the S&P 500 closed at 2,097.

I use StockMarketEye, very nice program and the developer is extremely responsive.

I just use excel. Manual update pricing, splits, dividends. I do it weekly or monthly depending on mood. Not much of a trader so daily pricing isn't really my concern. Will be updating my P/L this weekend.

in a nutshell ( I have asked broker friends who deal with the US stock market) it is not possible. Cos it involves pooling a lot of money together (in the millions) then we can get in...that is why it usually goes to the big boys like morgan stanley...well that was what was explained to me. Granted after a few drinks so I was quite happy. But that is how i understood it.

Spot on. Hot IPOs are not for retailers to apply, only for people who're big clients of investment banks (who're the underwriters). FB's IPO i think was and still is the craziest IPO till date, even some hedge funds couldn't get allocations despite their millions.
