The USDSGD has been on uptrend the last 2 months. Just wonder what is everyone's perception on how far it will keep rising?

Am carrying some USD and wonder it could still go up beyond 1.4?

the widened +gap bet 3mth SOR and 3m uslibor compared to previous sessions helped supported the pair.
it is overbought on technicals, USD strength as it paves the way for a rate hike in dec. there's potential for pullback below 1.39, which can be use to accumulate and then near resistance 1.40. look at usdjpy as well. prefer g10.

yup. USD and AUD will be a good bet for appreciation against SGD.

My current allocation is around 50% SGD, 25% AUD, 25% USD

I second this. Last year when there was news of rate hike, local banks were offering up to 1.8% on their 12 months FD.

Now, the best offer is around 1.2%, despite of Trump winning the election (and he supports rate hike).

Any guru can explain?
