What’s the estimate cost? My first time owning a car. Old post stated around 1.8k. U think do in jb good idea?

Recommend as highlighted by trento. but go google abit to better understand the code.

(1) check for leaks. No leaks then (2) Change your o2 sensors first (most prob less than $100). If not resolved then (3) go scrap yard or ask your WS source for used part for you.

Maybe check carousell and bargain (some people mod their cat sell away their original one - don't think cost more than $200-300).

the P0420 code stands for “Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1).” When you receive a P0420 code it means your catalytic converter is not operating at maximum efficiency. Usually this means your catalytic converter needs to be replaced or there is a problem with your O2 (oxygen) sensors.

Erratic aircon especially when ac is not cold when the car is stationary could mean the radiator fans are out. In that case, engine might overheat. Take note.

Yea, :/ third day now aircon halfway not cold after I off the aircon then on it back.

Other than radiator fan, the air con compressor clutch could be problem.

TS no need be nice guy, go back dealer bang table. You paid your good money, why you want to run from one workshop to workshop to narrow down problem.

I went to my own workshop. He told me to ask my dealer to solve the issue. My dealer told me to go to their respective workshop. Went there today, they inspect and all. Said they will send the quotation to my dealer. The only suspicious thing was, the Mechanic drove for a test drive but halfway my car cam didn’t have the record the time they drove the car. I went to check when I’m home. So within that 5mins, not sure what happen. Kind of annoyed with all this.

U can start by replacing the o2 sensors. Always try cheap before spending big.

I don't recommend overhaul unless it's the last resort where everything just fails

My dealer will cover the cost for the repairs. Just that the Mechanic switch off my car cam when they drove to check on the issue.

I’m worried on the overheat too. I’m asking someone to check my aircon today. So see how it goes. My aircon seems cold the past few days. Not sure why it was hot the other day.

else u go jb, even cheaper.

Thanks for advice. My dealer covering the cost of the repairs. I think they will find the cheapest way to solve it. Forsee that I’m gonna spend on this in the future.

Noted. For now they clear my engine light. Car goes smoothly. Whenever the light turn on, car will have slight jerk during acceleration and car don’t have much power. So if I driving alone, I’ll off the aircon so I’m able to pick up faster

talking to your used car dealer is a draggy process. they may or may not replace for you. meanwhile, go ask around workshop for a replacement, if it is not expensive, just change it.

there are a lot of honda specialist workshops in singapore, ask around... not expensive one.
