Damn fast right...lol. but its real as my daughter face scanning always fail. After renew her passport in April, will register her again and try. Hopefully can go through this time after updating her passport photo

the photo is based on the photo stored in the passport chip... so if ur daughter grow up.. then sure got changes* i meant

And once again, please don't tell the officer at the counter that you want to register for MDAC. You don't have to physically be anywhere special to register MDAC; you just need to have access to the website, on your mobile device or whatever.

You go to the counter to register for eGate access aka MACSv2.

@Habrosus & I did advise you to use the correct terms when you created this thread but...you had your own understanding.

technically correct but better to call it MDAC otherwise people might get confused with the (old and discontinued) MACS scheme

Calling the "scheme" MDAC will misguide people as it's only something that have to be filed in order to be able to use the eGates. MDAC is only the arrival card, being digital and for Malaysia. The "White Card".

Putting it in full as MACS2.0 as what they've on their website would be better as this is the "scheme".

I've come across many "funny" statements like "MDAC gives me faster immigration clearance." Just not right.

Already 2 months into it, would be nice to see more people understanding the terms. Especially in a city with English being its official language for business.

Luckily you did it. Read that counter’s closed today when someone wanted to register. Was asked to try again next week.

Does anybody have the ability to use e-gates even though you've not registered specifically for it before? You could just fill up the MDAC and then pass through with no problems? Or do you know of anybody who is able to do it?

Me. I didn't "register" at the counter, but after filling MDAC, checked my e-gate eligibility and it says eligible. Tried it and it works!

Yes, MDAC submission is now fully implemented. All need to submit MDAC except for those listed in the infographic.

For Singaporeans, not required to submit MDAC for entry using manual counter or by car. Your helper has to submit for her entry.

About MACSv02 for flying to PEN

I enquired at JB CIQ, about if I fly from SG to PEN, am I able to use the E-Gates at PEN. He said no, E-Gates only at JB.

Am wondering if I should go to the extreme and immediately go in MY again after getting SG chop on the day itself.

Just read 2 updates from WCHT group :

- MACS registration counters stopped operation sometime this afternoon. Travelers were apparently stopped from joining the queue

- Wednesday to Thursday morning, water shut down in Eco Botanica. Need to Google for more info

I got a new passport and was denied egate entry.
The counter staff said registration for egate at the counter only available on Monday to Thursday office hours. Prefilled MDAC form won't help.
Don't know if the new citizens or the Malaysia born got exception?

You aren't clear what's your situation...have registered for MACSv02 yet? If not you will not be able to use E-Gate.
