I also got the 'not eligible' when I checked, before the first time I used the egate. But I went ahead anyway and got through.

Subsequent MDAC submissions and eligibility checks always showed 'eligible'. The egate has always worked for me since then.

tried 4 egate all show passport verification error, the immigration officer say is my passport problem, can only use manual counter... but i just renew my passport in feb this year before i register for the fingerprint in mar... no time to ask him cos need go for appointment

My friend also started getting verification errors since getting new passport. :s13:

Would advise those with a few months' validity left, or even a year, just go get a new passport before going through MACS2.0 registration.

Hmm... do you happen to be a former Malaysian? There are some earlier comments mentioning some sort of 'blacklist'...

I'm registering mdac on the manual counter today and the M'sia CIQ officer told me that the registration system is down, ask me to wait for one month and register again. 😅

Thank you to all who faithfully report the status of the MDAC application process.
Wondering what if we send an email to the Minister of Home Affairs Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail,
about this sad state of affairs.

Or at least post the status on the MDAC website (not that it would be that accurate) and expected date of update completion.

bro try those egate where you have to vertically slot (portrait) in the passport NOT HORIZONTAL (landscape). these are the new egates. lesser errors

Over the weekend still so many people queuing up at manual lanes. Is it because the counter staff only help to do MDAC if there is no queue at all (off-peak hours)?

Today...at North Side

7.52am - Bus dropped off at SG's CIQ
7.56am - Cleared SG's CIQ
8.08am - Cleared E-Gate

Overheard SG saying system down cannot register.

no... manual counters there are no finger scanning...
but at train counters there are finger scanning..

Went in on last Sat...surprising the custom officer took my fingerprint and say register already. Check online yesterday, shows not eligible for e-gate. Today tried using e-gate cannot go through. At manual counter ask what happen...tell me now system offline. Make me blur...but anyway not a very long queue today. Will try again some other time.
