Journey from BJJ airport to Sukhumvit area:

1. Airport rail link - cash or coins
2. Transfer to MRT line - can use credit card to tap and go (only physical card, doesn't support Apple Watch, ApplePay etc)
3. Transfer to BTS - Rabbit card

When are they gonna standardize everything to one payment system? lol

no need standardize, as long as support credit/debit can liao. of coz credit/debit fx needs to be reasonable

Standardize using CC or similar like our EZ-Link/EasyGo lor. For FX I always use Trust card, or can also use Wise/Youtrip. These days a lot of solutions, no need to rely on cut-throat Visa/Master/Amex rates and fees

Yes but for Trust you don't have the usual 3.25% foreign transaction fee that the other visa/master/amex credit card charges and the rates are much better, very close to google / mid-market rates. And it's a credit card, unlike Youtrip/Wise which is a debit and you need to keep topping up

u can apply Trust credit card, don't think it comes with fx fees?

i mean if these credit/debit cards with no fx fees & reasonable rates become common for mass, then not necessary for MRT & BTS card to merge.

one thing about MRT, transaction aren't reflected immediately, took a few days.
