I'm planning for a family tour thru' a travel agent in vietnam
I had a draft plan. Can someone help me to look thru' and advice any thing I had miss out or anything i need to look out.
Day 1 Arrival in Ha Noi (-, -, D)
(15/12/2009) Meet at Noi Bai airport (flight from Singapore to Ha Noi at 20:25). Transfer to hotel. Overnight in Ha Noi
Day 2 Ha Noi – Ninh Binh – Ha Noi ( B, L )
(16/12/2009) Transfer to Ninh Binh, 100 km from Ha Noi. Visit the Dinh & Le dynasty temples in Hoa Lu, an ancient capital of Vietnam ( 968 – 1009 ). The highlight of the trip is a sampan ride to Tam Coc, known as Vietnam’s “ inland Halong Bay “.Paddle through three enormous caves and view local fisherfolk, village life along the river. Move onwards to the Bich Dong cave pagodas dating from the 17th century. Return to Ha Noi. Transfer to Ha Noi railway station for catch a night train to Lao Cai (Tulico Express or TSC train depart at 21: 55). O/N on train.
Day 3 Lao Cai – Sapa ( B,L,D )
(17/12/2009) Arrive in Lao Cai Station in the early morning (approximately 06:30). Breakfast served at a hotel restaurant in Lao Cai. Transfer to Sapa, visit to Lao Chai, Ta Van. PM : Trekking to visit Sapa market . O/N in Sapa.
Day 4 Sapa – Lao Cai ( B,L,D )
(18/12/2009) Morning, trekking to visit Ham Rong Mountain. Coach to Lai Cai. Visit Taphin village, Black H'mong village of Cat Cat. Take night train to Lao Cai railway station (Tulico Express or TSC train depart at 21:05). O/N on train.
Day 5 Ha Noi ( B )
(19/12/2009) Arrive in early morning. Breakfast. Transfer to hotel. Free & Easy in hotel. O/N in Ha Noi ( by your own )
Day 6 Ha Noi - Hue (B, L)
(20/12/2009) Morning transfer to Noi Bai Airport for a flight to Hue (VN 245, 10:10 - 11:20), widely known for its magnificent monuments built under the Nguyen Dynasty (1802 – 1945). In the afternoon, visit the tombs of King Tu Duc (ruled 1848 – 1883) and King Khai Dinh (ruled 1916 – 1925). The monuments, designed by the kings themselves, were also used as holiday retreats during their lifetime. In the evening, enjoy a Hue folk show on a barge on the Perfume River (optional with surcharge of 40 usd/group). O/N in Hue.
Day 7 Hue sight seeing ( B ,L,D)
(21/12/2009) Morning, take a boat ride on the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda with a 21-metre-high octagonal tower regarded as the symbol of Hue. Then overland to visit tomb of Minh Mang King. Afternoon, visit the Imperial Citadel, built in 1804 on a site chosen in accordance with the principles of geomancy and Dong Ba Market, famous for its best conical hats in Vietnam. O/N in Hue.
Day 8 Hue - Danang - Hoi An (B, L)
08:00 Morning, transfer to Hoi An, Stop - over on the Hai Van Pass overlooking the scenic Lang Co lagoon. Arrival in Da Nang, overland to Hoi An with stop over the stone – carving village of Non Nuoc.
14:00 Visit Hoi An ancient town: Japanese covered bridge, Chinese assembly Halls, museum, market, handicraft. 16:00 Then, take a boat ride to visit a Thanh Ha pottery village which made the bricks, tiles and floor slabs for the old building in Hoi An and the surrounding areas. Its products are made from clay such as flower vases, tea pots, piggy banks, wine bottles, or lovely ornaments of birds, turtles, buffaloes, etc.
Check-in. Free at night. O/N in Hoi An.
Day 9 Hoi An - Danang - Ho Chi Minh - Cu Chi (B, L)
Early morning transfer to Danang airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh (VN321 08:00 - 09:10). AM : Have an excursion to Cu Chi, 70km north of Saigon, famed for its 200-kilometer – long tunnels. Crawl down a tunnel to feel the underground life. Lunch at a local restaurant. Come back to Sai Gon. O/N in Ho Chi Minh city ( by your own )
Day 10 Ho Chi Minh city – Vinh Long – Can Tho (B,L,D)
Leave Saigon for Vinh Long (136km). Vivid farming activities and the riverine life of the Mekong Delta can be seen en route. Take a boat ride to the Cai Be floating market and then to Binh Hoa Phuoc Islet to discover the secrets of bonsai & orchard gardening. Onwards to Can Tho (40km). O/N in Can Tho
Day 11 Can Tho – Ho Chi Minh city (B )
Enjoy an early morning boat ride on the Mekong River to the bustling Cai Rang & Phong Dien floating markets thronged with buyers and sellers moving around in boats laden with farm products. Come back to Saigon. O/N in Ho Chi Minh city( by your own )
Day 12 Departure from Ho Chi Minh ( B )
At leisure until transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for departure (at 08:55). The end of the tour.
