I'm going to HCMC end of this mth. May I noe where do i book the guesthouse from? Which guesthouse do u all recommend..? It's for 3 person.

Hmmz try Lu Dong Kinh Guest house or Toan Thinh guest house.

Just a 10min walk to Ben Thahn market.

You can contact them directly via email lu_dongkinh@yahoo.com or toanthinhhotel@yahoo.com.

I personally stayed in Lu Dong Kinh and it's cost me 20 USD for a double room per night.

June is LOW season, dun need to book. If you wanna stay near Pham Bgu Lao, there's 2 small streets that have budget hotels. These 2 streets are off PNL and Bui Vien, very convenient but without the noise. Try Sao Nam & Yen Trang US16 up and they have lifts. I stayed at Sao Nam last month. Clean rooms.

For people travelling light, take the airport bus 152 from airport, it stops at Pham Ngu Lao and De Tham, only 3000VND !! cheap cheap !!

change money at gold shop (HA TAM) opp Ben Thanh mkt.

And DUN buy anything from Ben Thanh, prices are at least twice or thrice of other places. Even the street hawkers around there will chop.

I took taxis ( Mai Linh & Vinasun) and they will switch on the meter w/o asking.

Jap food lovers, go eat at Sushi Bar, cheaper then here but tons better !!

since some1 said june is low season, reach there than book, maybe can get better rate

I'll be travelling with a fren to Siem Reap in July for a 2 weeks vacation. We plan to go to Hanoi from there. Are there any good travel routes for us to get to Hanoi, besides taking a flight which is going to cost minimum 300USD?

this bus company got hourly departure to Dalat. But each trip will take 6 to 7 hours..

Can be boarded at the backpackers' street in HCM, District 1. But can't remember the street name, the bus company office is next to a t coffee outlet called Highlands Coffee or something.

What's the diff btw standard n superior room, other than the increase in room size? Superior rooms have window with city view while standard dont?

Is it recommended to take bus or taxi there from the airport?

hello, superior rooms are slightly bigger and only twin beds are available for superior rooms in Elios Hotel.

I can request for the windows room for you for the standard if you like.

It would be alright to take a cab from the airport to hotel now because the touts have more or less being driven away by the airport authorities and all cabs run by meter now.
