I got caught at about 3am+ vung tau toward ba ria. 2 cong an with mp5 road block, i got no license to ride. They asked for 500,000 dong equal to SGD 40+ .. so i give them . Afterward i carry on with my riding.

how to get to Sapa and Halong Bay from Hanoi?
which type of transport is rec and how much and how long?

Sapa, by night train, reach a small town in the morning then coach/bus to sapa.
Halong bay coach/bus, go in the morning, reach Halong jetty about noon then hop into the boat.

I will recommend u to get the package from the tour agents in Hanoi. Halong is about 60usd and sapa about 100usd.

HCMC and Hanoi are just cities... You will need to get out the cities to enjoy Vietnam. But to choose between cities then I will go for HCMC.

bro...u have summary list of places to visit or food to try in Hanoi / Sapa / Halong Bay?

2d 1n Hanoi, 3d 2n sapa, and 2d 1n halong bay is it an ok itinery?

is it worth staying overnite at Halong Bay? got day tours offer canoeing rite?

in sapa, what villages, places etc r nice? i read quite a few...all so tempting...hahah...any reviews?

news papers only mentioned danang, hue etc...which is central viet....

hanoi is north....so i guess nt affected?
