Just arrived at Hanoi and bought a sim card with unlimted 3G for a mth on recommendation from the kind folks at the hotel. Wanted to ask for a shorter plan but he says there's only the monthly one lol. Only few sgd diff so i didn't want to bother.

guess if anybody is interested in the sim card, i can pass it to you after i come back on the 10th :)

Hi ~大.芒.果~!

Thank you for posting this. My fiancee and I will be heading up Hanoi, Sapa and Halong Bay from 12th to 17th Nov. I think this will be a great help for us with your SIM card. Could I check with you:

1. Is it the mini SIM or regular big SIM card?
2. What's the cost you'd be looking at?
3. Venue you'd be most convenient in for us to look for you.

Thank you!

Regards,
Adrian

Any other recommendations for shopping, museum, palace and hotel? First timer here.

Most of the guided tours that originate from the backpacker district are more or less the same. Tourists from every agency there are consolidated by the actual tour agent that conducts the tour. Not much of a price differential even, and the itinerary are of course little different.
