for the 3 nights I stayed in Hoi An, early Sep ....
first day busy settling down, then look see at night.
second say took a cab to danang and spend the day there to visit temple and pray big godness of mercy, shopping and tried their 120m high Flyer. At night still walk walk at hoi An night market.
third day, bought a tour to Bana Hill theme park at danang again. Back in late afternoon and at night Hoi An night market walk walk again :s13:

Hoi An or Dalat are places for slow moving and lay back life style

last week visited dalat.

cooling weather. at night is cold, and when the wind blew at you is chilly :D .
hotel no aircon but is aircon round the clock ... no need to on fan.

lucky that Hagupit typhoon dissipated and only bring some rain on the 3rd day of my stay.

Do take the airport to/from dalat city shuttle bus. Only 40000 vnd per trip. S$2.50 :)

6days is enough for you to enjoy both of Halong Bay and Sapa, it's not really too rush as u think if u have no more time.

- day 1: Hanoi arrival (no check in hotel but can put your luggages there) - a walking tour to visit Hanoi Old Quarter - After dinner, take a night train to travel Sapa
- day 2: Sapa - Lao Chai - Ta Van (overnight hotel in sapa)
- day 3: Cat Cat - Sin Chai - night train to return hanoi
- day 4: Hanoi - Halong bay
- day 5: Halong Bay - Hanoi - Shopping
- day 6: departure

Cheers!!!!!!!

Dong..

Northface, almost every other shop got sell in town. But not so sure of pricing wise though..

There is alot of Northface in Sapa and Hanoi.

I saw a shop selling Northface along the on the way towards Cat Cat Village. I saw something USD14 to USD18 for the North Face winter jacket but authentic or not, I am not sure.

I saw many North face bags in old quarters hanoi.

In Hanoi and Sapa, they use dong more than USD.
