mainly cafes and food in the small roads branching out from Nguyen Van Troi Street and Hoang Van Thu Street
the food there is extremely cheap, especially those food stalls and drink stalls near govt primary, sec and high schools.
milk tea like 6000. fried rice, friend noodles like 20K
D2... i hope you are not staying in the inner areas of D2 whereby the Condos are built. The travelling distance and time is crazy
personally, i don't like to stay in D2 because there is a timing restriction on the roads, like some of the main roads will be closed after 8pm/9pm...
If you are riding motorbike or car, you will need to make a big de-tour

Post office bo simi wan.there are others who know much more... like guni, facewash
my knowledge about Vietnam is just basic compared to them. I only know certain parts of hcmc and hanoi....
they.... many parts of vietnam haha!
due to my work I travel very regularly to hcmc and hanoi. at least 1-2 per month.
even though I have made like hundreds of trips to vietnam but sadly till date, i never had the chance to really be a true tourist in Vietnam
so if people ask me what to expect inside "Saigon Post office" or some of the Vietnam museums.... i can't answer
I haven't seen 25K com suon bi or suon cha for a long time.
Cheapest I have seen cost around 40K
Famous ones will cost like 60 to 80K

1st time going VN, want to go to a beach resort any recommendation?
Hello Everyone!
Does anyone have a basic itinerary for a 1st time Solo to HCMC?
Have scrolled close to 20 pages back and have a basic idea but still confused due to the D1s and D5s stuff.
Would appreciate if there can be recommendations for accommodation, food and shopping areas to visit.
Also read about the night markets but abit confused over what to expect. Isit wise to bargain over there ?

Hotel - Stay in any hotel in D1 / D3
Food - Pho Bo, Bun bo Hue, Banh xeo, banh knot, Banh Mi, Oc (Just go to one of their fast food restaurant call Mon hue, you can almost everything there)
Shopping - Saigon center D1, Vincom center D1, Crescent mall D7. VIvo SC D7.
Night market - Ben thanh, nothing much.
If you like something like Paltinum mall in BKK, can try an dong market.
Or nearer one is opposite Saigon center the saigon sq.
